At WOT my 4L60e won't shift from 2-3
If I'm cruisin down the highway at 60 and punch it, my car will shift into 2nd gear like normal but when it gets to the shift point, the motor just bumps off the rev limiter until I let off the gas and then it drives like normal again.
I heard that since I have a shift kit that the 4L60e will sometimes not shift into 3rd gear at high rpms. Is this true?
Also sometimes if I go around a 90 degree turn around like 40mph and give it steady gas, it feels like the torque converter isn't fully engaged. Like it's slipping or something.
I did break my 3-4 sprag a couple months back, but I had it fixed as well as replacing all bearings/gaskets along the way.

and to answer your question yes ... my car during the winter would bump the limiter on the 2-3 everytime...now that it has warmed up it shifts fine...these electronic trannies are tricky bastards...

So should I try to put regular tranny fluid in it?
To be honest when I did my shift kit, I didn't drain the torque converter and just filled it to the top using synthetic. Then when I broke my 3-4 sprag, they flushed it using full synthetic. So maybe the blend before the tranny work wasn't too slippery but now that it's all synthetic it's too slippery? Maybe? Cause I never had the problem before I had the tranny worked on after breaking it.
