Installing Built Trans...What Cooler to go with??!! I'm looking for seriously the best tranny cooler to go with...I live in Houston and it gets HOT down here...I'm looking to have this sucker stay COOOOOLLLL....I've been running a Multi-Disc 4000 Vig for 2yrs on the STOCK tranny with STOCK cooler and after 30,000 miles (110,000 total miles on the stock tranny though!) of N20 and Stage 2 Heads cam the sucker (Tranny) is starting to slip WAAAYYYY BAD....so It's time to upgrade. I want to put in a cooler and looking for tips on the the best cooler. 
Re: Installing Built Trans...What Cooler to go with??!! Just go with the biggest one you can fit that has a large fan on it. It will keep the fluid COOL. The coolers with the fans tend to cost 3x more. The regular large B&M's seem to be sufficient though.

One last question...cheapest place to get one? and how do you guys run the lines...I'd lik to use steel braided lines w/an fittings...anyone have a link as to how to do this?

You don't have to worry much is you start off with the B&M 24000. Worst case, you can add another one in daisy chain style. I've got a 19000 and a 24000 mounted in series and It lest me hot lap at the track all day long without any problems. The main reason for adding the second one was the fun of construction traffic crawls in the Michigan summers.

Re: Installing Built Trans...What Cooler to go with??!! I installed the B&M 28000 cooler in my car. Worked out pretty nice. This cooler is big enough so it will be a little tight fitting in there installing it, but it can be done. The 24000 will fit easily.

I'm curious, I have a B&M Supercooler 24,000 GVW, if after I put the trans temp gauge in I notice it's not coolin enough, can a fan be added to it, and how hard is it to do that? Also, what should the temp be on a Turbo 400, like at what temp should I worry that it's gettin too hot? Thanks for any help!
