Like I said so far the people giving out the info, about a year ago lol have been right so far so is most likely going to weight around 3600lbs or less...

If the camaro was build by honda it would get better mpg....if...who cares it is what it is and Im sure the ride "comfort" the IRS gives to the camaro is worth it to some people.

Also we don't know yet if the camaro would out handle it just because it has IRS,just because a car doesn't have IRS doesn't mean it sucks at handling so we will have to wait and see on that.I bet it will be really close, the Mustang right now handles decently.

Also most people who will buy these cars probably arn't going to be racing fanatics who can use the car at 100% potential. For those actually getting it to race will most likely be for straight line.
A year ago it was going to be powered by the "Hurricane" 6.2l with 425hp. I have no doubts it will be improved, I just doubt it will be 400hp. I'll believe it when Ford releases their own figures.

It's funny how the LS1 guys talk all sorts of **** about the Mustangs for the ONE reason that they are slower in a straightline, but as soon as it looks like they might be faster the tone changes. Just find that slightly humorous.

3. Ford gives it horrid gearing.
4. The 5.0L will only produce 375-380HP, and the Mustang will weigh 3700lbs
Scenario 4 was forgotten, and is the most likely.

Dude these guys have been saying like the past 2 years when people were talking about it have the 6.2l and all that bs Motor trend and other magazines said and are still saying.

Now that we are getting close to seeing the real specs it turns out their right so I doubt they will be far off.

These guys have connections and know, the dude post on svt performance,he's like always right lol.

I'm pretty sure a 6.2 is gonna have more power/torque under the curve than a 5.0. Nobody seems to consider this when bench racing. Even if the Camaro weighs 300lbs more it's gonna have a lot more bottom end torque to get it moving in a hurry.

6.2l > 5.slow

Either way, you're gonna be seeing near-stock Mustang GTs that are nearly as fast as your full bolt-on/cammed/stalled Z28

I wasn't aware that I said that. I was talking specifically about 99 Z28's ridiculously fast Z28.

A full bolt-on/cammed/stalled Z28 has a tad more than 400 at the crank. And I'd sure love to see the power band of a 400hp 5.0 mini me motor.
