Default 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee unveiled!

http://www.leftlanenews.com/jeep-grand-cherokee.html

Wow i think its beautiful! Ever since my dad bought his 92 Grand Cherokee i;ve been a fan. It had 240,000 miles and a straight six and it mobbed harder than our lifted duramax. I immediately went out and bought a 98 Grand Cherokee limited 5.9 AWD and it has been, and always will be amazing. I love them for what they are. Perfect blend of Ruggedness, luxury, and economy. Perfect DD. I wasnt much of a fan of the next two generations. I really wanted an SRT8 for a while, but you lose the whole off raod apppeal which is half of my reasoning so it was out. Plus for $60,000 i could find a used Chayenne s twin turbo or range rover. Anyway, this new one look ssweet and uses Jeeps newest v6 which has 280hp and improved gas mileage! Even though i'll go for an 8 cylinder, thats exciting to!

Looks like a Lincoln. I find myself liking each generation of the grand cherokee less than the last.

I actually like this thing. I've always been a fan of Jeep. Sure they have their share of issues, but overall they are pretty solid vehicles.

Slightly off-topic, but has anyone noticed how much the new Honda Pilot is looking like a Jeep Cherokee? Except for the front end, the lines are very similar.

Kinda looks like a Rover, which isn't a bad thing in the SUV world. I've found the uglier I find the car the better it does.

exterior isnt too appealing in my book. at least the interior is a big step up from my dads 99 cherokee.

dads 99 cherokee 4.0 I6, 60k miles, nothing but oil changes and basic maintence, thing runs like a champ.

as far as i'm concerned, they quit making "Jeeps" decades ago...that thing just looks like another chrysler suv with a "jeep-esque" grill.

I know that the Jeep I-6s are some of the most reliable engines in the world, but 10 years and 60k miles is nothing special. In fact, that's incredible LOW mileage. I had a friend with a 9 year old Jeep back in high school that had 220k miles on it and ran like a champ.

We bought ours with 240,000 and it was original and running like a champ. Always did until me brother had a seixure driving and totaled it. I was very impressed and thats why ill always consider their future products. Most capable off roading vehicle ive ever driven. Well, my dad has a Range but its an HRSE sport so i feel guilty with it in the mud

I am perfectly happy with my 04 Grand Cherokee's engine and suspension.....but each time it shifts and each time I mess with any climate controls, I am unlovingly reminded that its still a Chrysler product.

I agree, I think the last time a solid axle was put in a non-Wrangler Jeep it was the 04 Grand Cherokee. Cherokee stopped in 01 and I don't believe any new models since then have a SFA. I think one of the new junks even has independant at all 4 corners...

If you want a luxurious Jeep that still performs off road then go with the 99-04 GC. Hell, even some of the 93-98 Limiteds will suit your fancy if you aren't too picky. All new Jeeps are trashboxes for sure.

I'd buy one! I'd like to see what the SRT8's look like!
