Thoughts on Code 130r? (possible new Camaro?)
Don't know a whole lot about it, just that its RWD, based on the Alpha platform, same wheelbase as the ATS, and its Chevy's attempt at trying to woo a younger crowd (17-early 20 year old i'm assuming.)
They mentioned it having a turbo'd ecotec so the thought of it being a Camaro went out the window. Still interesting.

This is if it actually is going to be the new Camaro, which i agree a few more sharper lines in the front with those headlights.
On second thoughts maybe this will be something like a Sky/Solstice, where it looks nice but isn't going to be a power house?
They also showed the Tru 140S, its a FWD application which looks like it might be trying to compete against the Scion crowd.

The body is a no-winner but I like the size. They could probably have a 1-series fighter with a turbo I4 or turbo V6 (1 series M). And with the bigger engines a Camaro. Just do not share the body or interior. Maybe the chassis backbone can be shared, but everything else needs to be different. And I mean more different than say the 4th Gen F-bodies, and the Grand Prix/Impala, etc.

that is not AT ALL a chevelle.
that's a generic boring chevy front end, with a generic high ceiling cabin and a useless trunk with wheels under it.
they already ruined the malibu. How many of those do you see in junkyards?

What makes you say that? It is not as if the base engine has never been a 4 cylinder in a Camaro before. Given the higher output of these turbo fours it is a distinct possibility, perhaps moving into highly likely territory. Would there be a market for a low $20k, turbo 4 (270-300hp), 3400 lb, mid 30's mpg, rwd, 6 speed coupe?

Love this car and hope they get it right if they do make it. If the car weighs no more than 3000lbs and has around 300hp, it will be a performance gem! I love how this car looks too, I've noticed GM guys having the harshest words and the other camps saying they like it.... go figure...
Also, I created a Facebook Group asking GM to build this car. Join up if you want this car to come to reality. I just want them to get the powertrain/setup right for the performance model (SS). I also think they should give it the Nova nameplate.
