$50K for a Camaro with the ugliest interior in the world? At least the Boss 302 had a good interior.
A person will still be making payments when the next lighter and faster Camaros are into production.
I think these latest gen Camaros will be known as the fatboy years once the new CTS/ATS platform version is released with the latest LS/LT powerplants.

I recently saw a Z-28 on the street but it looked different than the concept in the video. It had black wheels with a polished lip and hockey stick stripes on the rear quarters with Z-28 on them. I thought it looked kind of plain compared to some off the SS Camaros I've seen and I wasn't impressed.

Have you looked at your 4th gen interior recently? nothing impressive and the 5th gen is 1000x better and still, you own a 4th gen. Camaro interior is nice IMO and better than the Dodge and Ford muscle car. Seats/suede steering wheel&shifter/my link and dash are one of my favorite things about the 5th gen...

And if you can't appreciate the heritage of the gauge layout and console gauges, you are not truly a Camaro fan. Ever been inside a first gen....

+1 a lot of crying in here. Im sure it will perform well. If you're buying a track ready z/28 for its interior than you have your priorities mixed up.

The 5th is far better than the 4th, and I won't argue for the Shelby on this, but everyone has their ideas. On the other hand, the Dodge interior is it's best part by far and while I don't like all their "stuff," the seating surfaces, etc. seem to be much nicer than the Camaro. For performance, I'm not really interested in the Dodge stuff, but for looks and comfort, without question... it's nice.

Grand Touring... Yeah, I could call it that myself. I'm not happy about all of Dodge, but they've come a very long way over just the past 6-8yrs. They're still overpriced for what you get impo, but they do look good in many cases.

If you watch the Jay Leno he asks about the price. And due to Ceramic brakes standard etc it will cost more then a ZL1. Lol omg that's to expensive and defeats the point if the Z28 as an affordable track car.
We're looking at $55,000 - $65,000 base. I can't wait to see the 2015 Mustang!

GM already gave us a mass market track car (1LE). This is the tip of the sword (so to speak) of the Camaro line.
The butthurt stems from the Z28 package not being widely available becasue it was for so long. Unless my recollection is wrong 1st Gen z28 packages were more expensie than big block packages.
Z28 was super accessable from 1977-2002.

5th gens are already highly successful.
bringing out a low production unit with a high price will not hurt it whatsoever.
if anything adding to it is a good thing and excellent marketing imo.
mustangs have had and still do have many high cost tuner options and it hasnt had a negative impact on the car overall.
