GM pulled the plug. Should clarify that this refers to only the GTE class Corvettes' formerly GT1 class Corvettes #'s 3 & 4. At times, there are other teams in the GTE class that use Corvettes, but they are just that, other teams. They are not the iconic yellow Corvette racing team cars operated by GM.

i think its more that GM is waiting to see what happens in the new Gran-am LeMans series that Nascar has created.
i dont see anything about GM and Pratt&Miller pulling out after this year..

I lost track of Team Corvette and LeMans in general after they first pulled out during the bankruptcy days, which if I remember, they were on a seemingly non stop winning streak. How did they do when they came back?
I wonder what racing plans they have for the c7.

the C7.R is confirmed to be out next season in the united sports car something or other. i cant find ANY information that says GM is pulling out of LeMans racing.
from the head of Corvette Racing:
Doug Fehan: Corvette Racing will start track testing the Corvette C7.R after Le Mans 24. Car will debut at the Daytona 24 in 2014.

That's the Rolex series...completely different series. They are done w/ American LeMans series racing.

No, I did not know that. What I know is that in every ALMS series race I watch, the announcers state that it is the last year for Corvette racing's iconic #3 & #4 Cars...the Corvettes identified w/ Corvette GT racing. Have seen Prototype cars that are so called Corvettes.
If in 2014 I see yellow Iconic #3 & #4 Corvettes, then I will know that what had been reported in 2013 was incorrect.

Cool & I finally got it. C7 next year. It's only C6 that's done racing, not the Corvette racing team. I was wrong. Sorry, about that. Good to know that they'll be back @ it again.
Heard teams complaining about a speed advantage for the Aston Martin. Hopefully, C7 development can close the gap. The Corvette team seemed uninterested despite their leader claiming otherwise.
