Hey everyone, with the 5th Gen Camaro officially on the board, does anyone have any information on the possible return of a Firebird?

Well with the Camaro concept sharing the same platform as the GTO, I couldn't see a Bird coming along. Who knows? Maybe they'll trash the GTO in favor of a redesigned Bird?

The GTO is their sublime performance car. They wouldnt make a gap in their lineup just to bring in another sports car. Tho I wouldnt put it past a company to release a redesigned sports car that is itself sublime and unremarkable... *looks at charger and cries*

If the Camaro sells well I imagine a Firebird wouldn't be too far behind. I'm sure somewhere deep in the Pontiac HQ there is something drawn up.

Who knows,GM wants to market a sky,solstice and a stingray.They really step on each others toes.Hey,they got the 44K SSR that won't sell much less the GTO.

The Bird is dead and that sucks. I just do not see it coming back. Not enough of us out there to support a new camaro, GTO and a Bird. Now they take the solstice and make a factory V8 version with an LS2 that would be ok for me as the new Bird option. Other than that I hate to say it but another car on the same platform just muddies the waters and GM needs to streamline as it is. The solstice, sky and any other mutant car variant does not make any sence to me. One company should make one car for now. GM get healthy again before you throw out the same car in 6 different styles. Just give all the options possible to one line and go for it.

I want them to bring back the Trans Am. I like the camaro, and i like the GTO. But nothing said get the **** out of my way like the WS6. It had "bad ************" written all over it.
