Merkur Xr4ti.....
Anyone here have one???? I use to have an '87 5 speed about 7 years ago that was just awesome... Use to go out and blow away GT's and stuff. Very quick for a 2.3 Turbo. Still one of my favorite cars.
Here's some pics I just got form the internet incase no one has ever seen one

And even to this date,,, I still think one of these would toast a Mustang GT.

I used to laught at my cousin because he had one in the early 90s. I thought it was a piece of **** car, something like a modern day Daewoo or somekind of flea market car (Merkur = Mercury). Back then I was only like 10 or so.

My brother had one and tinted the windows (limo) and had a sound system that set off alarms from the bass. It looked pretty sweet with spoked dayton rims.
I have a picture, I can post or pm it later when I get home.

I use to have one years ago. It was 88 xr4ti 5spd. Was pretty quick for the year. I could beat stock foxbodies with it. My buddy had a daytona turbo z. Use to race him all the time. I hooked up a intercooler on the bitch and turned the boost up and beat the crap out of it. Sold it for 800 only paid 500 for it. Was very fun. Even had black leather heated seats.

My Dad has one. I think he still has it anyways. lol He has too many cars. I used to drive it around when my 71 was down. Really fun car to drive, and very unique here in the states at least.

Well, I guess today they look a little akward but back in the day Euro tune was the in thing and with that in mind the styling was pretty contemporary. Definately a period piece. Thats why I like it, its unique and back in the day it was a hot performer. Actually my other car has a bit of that euro style: the GTA is monochrome, it has BBS RS style wheels like the BMW's and that prancing horse style notchback that aparently only about 700 other people liked enough to put on their cars...Euro cars were cool back then, it was like tastefull rice!
