I prefer the Sierra over the Silverado. The interiors looks fantastic (I'm not a big fan of woodgrain in a truck though).

If there was a contest to pick which was the most vanilla looking truck who would win? GM or Ford?

I think it would be a tie, these new trucks look awful and completely lack any personality.

They're growing on me already. The GMC does look frighteningly similiar to the F150 though. The first pics I saw of the crew cab really scared me. But the extended cab model looks better. They still need to do something about that mega-chrome front grille. Make it thinner or not chrome...I dunno.

The reason the GMC and Ford look alike is because they both have 2-piece front fascia's. In a truck, you have to hide about 20 mm worth of movement between the body and the frame. On the Chevy, they run a uniform gap under the headlamps and grille. On the GMC, they layer it in the 2-piece fascia. Unfortunately, there are not a whole lot of ways to layer the gap, so you get a similar appearance.

Same here sure glad I picked up my 06 when I did. The only two options I wish GM offered for the 06 Silverado was DVD NAV, and the Silverado SS package on the crew cabs.

I think they both look great. Every new product from GM seems to need a growing period; especially the ones pictured 2 posts above. Those, I hated at first, but they grew on me. These new ones only took about 5 or 10 minutes starring at the pictures to grow on me. I definitely want to see them both in person. If anything, the interiors are wonderful compared to the Fisher Price made ones of yore. I like that they give you a more truck like optioned layout for the interior, or a more lavish, feature appointed interior that seems to share allot of parts with the Tahoe/Suburban. Even the "truck like" interior option is a world better than last year's "cheap American" looking layout. It seems our domestics might be commin around, it's wonderful to see what a large company might do (ingenious/or moronic) to save their own asses at bankruptcies’ door. Oh, and did I mention the optional 6.2L 400hp option. YEEEAAAHH!!!!!!!!
