I love it when ignorant folks bring up the camshaft issue, considering it was less than 20 reported of the 200k sold(.0001 %)( C6 Z06 had more issues with the roof flying off). Tell me why there isnt a recall, if it were so previlant? I guess it hasnt reflected on its sales has it? Dont be mad, itll be ok.

BTW, I thought you might enjoy this:

Tundra sales up 61.4% in September

F150 sales down 20.8% to 56,065 from 70,822 for September:

Silverado sales up 5% to 52,040 from 51,964

Sierra sales up 9% to 18,445 from 17,604

http://media.gm.com/servlet/GatewayS...74&docid=40014

Ram sales up 25% to 30,100 from 25,081, impressive considering it is one of the older models in the segment:

http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/s...e,190480.shtml

Titan sales down 11.1 percent to 5,193 from 6,073

Dude those tundras are weak they have frigin headers from the factory a bad *** 6 speed tranny to put the motor in the band verry well is where most of the power comes from. Cant wait till I get My ASA camshaft installed on my 04' Silverado SS AWD So I can pull my long *** 4 speed gears on my factory 4:10's When my ss just had a GMPP CAI and a Borla cat back untuned I raced a new tundra on I-20 in arlington and he only got me by about a truck and a half from a 65 punch but at about 80ish my RPM's came up and I stayed dead even pull till about 100 when the SS started to pull the he cowardly shut down This same outcome about four times The only reason he pulled is because of his tranny. Now I have full longtubes and soon a ASA cam so bring it yota.

All trucks have headers from the factory! If your meaning to say, they have equal length headers from the factory, then you are wrong. They are far from it. Doug Thorley just released some equal length headers, that made 26hp and almost 40ftlb on our trucks. There's alot of potential left in these motors, that have yet to be opened.

Dude, look at the vids that are posted up, of Tundras vs Siverados racing. Its not even close. The Tundra and Denali are the only trucks that trap over 90mph stock(95-96 Tundra and 94-95mph Denali). The fact is, you will need to mod your truck, in order to pull a stock Tundra! The RC(regular cabs) Tundra's, are running 13.8's-14.1 at 97mph and I know, with your bolt on's, your not close to that. Instead of bench racing, saying you can beat this and that, show me a video of you doing so!

The Tundra's have a tubular exhaust header from the factory where most trucks have a cast exhaust manifold, so you are wrong. It was even in one of their commercials. If I am not mistaken they are a tri-y stainless steel header, which is good for torque. And they are equal length, at least that is what Toyota was saying.

You do realize, that the only reason Tundra's numbers are up so much the last much is because they started offering 0% APR for 60months with some rebates. That also causes an increase in sales. I wish your link would have shown that too.

90% of its customers, do not apply to such interest rates. You basically need a 625-650+ credit score to do so. GM also offer, such incentives.

If the headers were so good, why are people making tubular shorties that makes 26hp and 40ftlb over stock?

Qoute : """"Wow, so many questions. Ok, it does not really change the sound too much, a little deeper but not much. They are mild steel coated in ceramic and available in chrome right now. The stainless steel would have cost too much money and no one wold want to buy them.

As for the dyno charts and pictures, we have nothing to hide with our product. I am a Mechanical Designer here at Jardine/ Doug Thorley and I am very proud of our product. It is excellent workmanship and development. Such considerations as firing order, equal tube length, and REAL TRI-Y design. I am not at my desk right now. But our header compared to the stock one has MANY differences. The stock one is stamp mild uncoated steel with NO equal length tubes and dumps right into cats. When they are that short there is no torque and slow response. The best place to get our headers right now is through URD USA.

Our headers undergo pressure testing to make sure all welds are good and leak free. Flanges are think 3/8" laser cut steel. They are ground flat AFTER being welded to insure a proper seal. We also use factory Toyota style crush gaskets because they work the best. Why change it? Our ceramic coating is the best money can buy, its 5 mil thick on both sides and provides excellent durability and heat protection. They wont blue and wont rust.

I will get a picture of the stock manifolds tomorrow so you guys can compare. We have nothing to hide about our products and I will be glad to answer any other questions you guys have.""""

Wow - this thread has spiraled out of control! Last I remember it was a funny picture of a Chevy pulling a Toyota racing trailer. Now we are talking about Toyota finance incentives....

I never said they were so good, I simply said that you were wrong when you corrected the previous poster. That and you were also wrong when you said they were not equal length. Oh, and when you said all trucks have headers from the factory. You liked telling him that he was wrong, turns out it was you instead. I was just there to correct you.

No, he insisted that we have tubular headers from the factory. Which is not true. They might be well designed for a factory unit, but it is far from perfrection. Hence as I qouted, they are not tubular. Dont be mad, since the same displacement Tundra, has more power and torque, than your beloved ls1.

Better check with Toyota on that. Their website clearly says they are equal length, and the pictures clearly show them being tubular.

Also, dont be mad that it took Toyota 10 years to surpass the LS1 and it took a more expensive engine to do it. Why dont you compare it to the Denali engine? Which will be more widely used. And how it takes the Tundra a short rear gear just to get that over weight pig moving even with its power.

And even with the 4 cams, VVT, 4 valves per cylinder, etc......it is still behind the 02 LS6. It even slightly trails the 01 LS6.
