I cant find a link, however This is the best I can do. They have concepts drawn up and the company is making a state of the art facility in Kenosha, Wisconsin. From the sounds of the article it will be a more exclusive auto producer, so don't expect cheap cars.

Hot Rod April issue Pg. 48

If I'm correct, Chrysler owns the rights to AMC. They acquired when they bought them out in the early eighties to get the Jeep brand. Didn't much want AMC, like everybody else, but it was a package deal to get the Jeep products.

Don't see anything smart about bringing back AMC. Not a strong heritage or following to the brand. Plus, the "concept" drawings are just redone AMX and Gremlin renderings. Nothing new and who buy from an unknown entity. Love to see this business plan!!!

It's too bad that they're opting for expensive cars... We need more companies like the old AMC and Plymouth around, not an American Aston Martin....

He's referring to April Fool's Day.

That is just sick, they made the Gremlin look cool, that just isn't right!

I'd rock that or especially the first one they showed.

You are 100% correct except that AMC has some very loyal fans. They also made some pretty quick little cars. Are they as popular as a Camaro? Absolutly not, but I wouldn't go so far to say they have no heritage or following.

Default You've been had!

At the very very end of the article, in a yellow box, it reads:

"So do you have your checkbook out ready to put down a deposit on a new AMC car? If so, put it away, 'cause HOT ROD and Steve Stanford have been jacking with you -- April Fools!"

"V8 Gremlins were the ****."

There still are some tearin' up the tracks and causing fear in the heart of Big Three competitors. It's all in good fun. That article in Hot Rod had folks goin'. Would be a cool idea but they'd need to start with more up to date concepts and definitely would need some entry level approach.
