the threads werent an exact match, not sure whats up with that should be m16*1.75 right? i know the threads on my B&m shifter are jacked up.
only thing i used additionally was a washer to support the boot below the start of the ****.

The boys at west coast corvette have a 6 speed pattern engraved ball made from what I think is stainless. They sell it for about 35 bucks and with a little threading it fits great on my Katech. Ill see if I cant get some pics. I spun mine in a lathe for a brushed look - it was chrome-ish before.

Want brushed parts?
Get a drill, spin a bolt into the shifter, insert bolt into drill. Put drill in vice upside down. Tighten everything. Spin the drill and hold sandpaper to the part you want buzzed down.
Presto, brushed shifter.
