Im just curious, cause I understand that the brace will help with wheel hop and help put power to the ground... Im sold on that.
But will it put more stress on the diff?

There is only one rear differential mounting point for the first gen CTS-V that really contributes to the "parade clunk". If you would like to replace this bushing with a polyurethane bushing contact Luke at Lindsay Cadillac from what I understand it almost completely removes the clunk.

I'm sure every little bit helps though, and the only way to truely eliminate the problems with our differential is to replace the entire rear end assembly with something better like Madman's 9" or hopefully Hendrix's 8.8 assembly if it goes into production. Different people swear by different fixes from $17 washers to $8000 differential replacements and some people simply just try them all. Nothing takes away from the fact that GM just did a bad job with the rear end of our cars.
Single Differential mounting Point responsible for the notorious clunk (described by GM dealers as Axle Lash) where pinion brace attaches:

my diff bolt setup is different. I have two washers and a nut on the back side. I cannot get the damn bolt out. It sticks about 3" past the nut when tighted. Trying to install my Pinion support. I think i will have to have a shop tac the nut to the bracket so i can get the damn bolt out.
