Default any done a real good fuel pump upgrade.. twins?

i got my tank out looking to do a nice clean job.

i cant help but notice the dual ports on the tank, passenger side being the pump and low level sensor, drivers side being the high level sensor and the siphon pickup.

original plan was to sneak a second pump in the main bucket.. that seems to be fading

another idea was to drop another complete sending unit into the drivers side, and hook the siphons together. any idea what that would do?

last idea was to mount a pump in with the siphon pick up, but have it draw through a hose dipping over into the passenger side.

i'm definitely going to avoid an external pump that has to run constantly, but not above an external pump that runs under boost.

also.. ive heard of the racetronix kit for this but seen no actual photos.

lastly i have not been able to find the walbro part number for the cts-v pump and filter by istelf.

thanks for your help.

I have the racetronix setup in a bag at my apartment. I'll bring it with me to work tomorrow to get you information off the pump/part numbers. Looks like it just R&R with the stock pump the way it is from what I can remember when I looked at it last.

Side note: I need to install this pump. How hard was it to pull the gas tank? How long and what was required?

i ordered the pump from thunder racing earlier today

dropping the tank is easy.. dropping the cradle to get to the tank was a good bit of work

removing the exhaust, unhook the shocks and brake lines, fuel lines, then cradle bolts.

the loaded cradle is quite heavy

did you end up replacing the stock pump or were you able to squeeze a 2nd pump in?

Did you get the pump in? Wondering which Walbro fits in the CTS-V assembly.

yea i got it

it was kinda silly that it didnt come with a fresh filter for all that money it was just another walbro it seem'd.

clearly the hard part to get is the filter.. well anyways thats why i bought the racetronics kit... never again. i will just make other stuff work like i shoulda done in the first place.

That's interesting, what Walbro part # was it? I'm thinking I can source the strainer elsewhere, and just use a regular Walbro.

Thanks,
Chris
