nope. vette diff wont work .

Nest setup on the market right now for us if you want to drag/launch hard is a gen 3 diff from the dealer (about 1600$) and a set of anti hop axles.

Are the 04/05 diffs under recall on all cars???

I realize im out of warranty but if it was a recall issue, i might be able to score at least an 06 diff out of it...

There was never a recall on the diff itself. Only the pinion seal.

So everyone out of warranty is screwed and stuck having to pay full price for a new diff when cadillac knows these POS are faulty...

They aren't "faulty" as GM says, you just gotta granny shift , cant do any clutch dumps or hard launches and the diff should last 200k.

Are you talking about a 09 diff? I've never read about this. I thought the V3 mounted differently and requires a cradle and fuel tank to get it into a V2. Any links?

No not the 09 diff, its the 06-07 diff with a few more changes.

I saw a pic of one and it said Getrag on it? I know they used to make a trans for the stealth, and alot of other parts I believe. I wonder if they ever made a truck diff out there or something foreign that would work. Just trying to think outside the box... They also manufacture the SRT-8 rears - http://www.allusasupercenter.com/200...k09srtdiff.htm

Again, I have no idea how these cases match up. Just brainstorming. I just bought my V last week, so pardon my enthusiasm lol.

Isn't there something about one of the two Solstice/Sky diffs being fairly similar in the mounting? The price might be cheaper. Not sure about the strength or what axles would work with the caddy setup though...

Same weak diff casing, the regular CTS and SRX also uses it.
