Stick or auto? Id see if he can drive before you talk trash. Strip is really the worst place for you to try and show him a thing or two. AT the track he prolly has you, from a roll on the street its a drivers race.

Regardless of the venue, regardless of the year, it will be something of a driver's race if both are stock. You have a slight performance advantage on the LS1 SS and more advantage on the LT1 SS, but only if you are a flawless driver. Any fourth-gen SS should be easier to launch than the V, but you can make it up if you are a hot shot in the driver's seat. If the other driver is better than you are, it doesn't look too good for you. It should be a fun, close race regardless.

Its an older one so like a 1999 maybe? I think its the lt1, like I said the SLP package whatever that is. I have no idea if its a stick or auto haha. Ive seen him hit it before and it just doesn't seem so fast idk.

1998-02 all have LS1s, pre 1998 were LT1s. itll be a good race if its a stock ls1 M6.

If its a lt1 with just bolt ons youll smoke it , a m6 01 or newer ls1 vs a stock V is a close race but the V should pull up top .

My F-body was an 01 SLP SS. It had the Blackwing lid and CME exhaust from the factory along with the Bilstein ultra performance suspension package and a ton of other things. It is basically an intake exhaust package. My car dynoed btw 315-320 if I remember correctly stock. I pulled a 08 Audi RS4 from a 60+ roll by a couple of cars with it when it was "stock". I had a passenger too he didn't. I do think the V is faster though. The 3.73 gears definately get this pig moving and up top the V should pull a car or so with a good driver.

From a stop you will probably lose. Driving around wheel hop is not conducive to good et's.

From a roll a V will def pull an RS4. Motor Trend compared them a few years back and the v trapped 1 or 2 mph more in the quarter which equates to a car or 2

Best part? Our car is 30grand cheaper, an extra 8grand and the V just flys by everything

1 or 2 mph diffreence = creeping away not pulling by any means. you may see 1 to 2 cars if you run out 5th gear.
