That would be me.....shitty numbers, but drivability is great. I would go with a much different cam if I did it all over again.

That cam above is barley different than stock... again, looks like this is for an LS6 and again, that higher lift isnt going to do anything with LS6 heads stock at least. Its in the FLow numbers, they dont increase and I bet you had to blow $$ for valvetrain upgrades.
hard to say how well it was tuned... but Those durations are not a hell of a lot better than the 02+ LS6 cam, hence the mediocre increase.

I paid a pro to spec my cam with the assumption he would take those things into consideration. I requested a cam that had a mild idle and that would work with stock manifolds and high flow cats.

The tune is definitely not the issue, I think the cam is just on the small side.

the only thing similar between that cam and the stock ls6 cam is that the LSA are similar other then that its still has more duration the then stock cam.

Sure does have more duration... a lousy approx 30 bhp, barely more duration!

Furthermore everyone here is missing the point.
Lobe profile is the proper way to determine difference, not just a peak.
its no different than dyno runs. what good is peak HP when the rest is 40hp lower than a different curve?

Any cam choice should be over 230 both intake/exh or decrease the LSA for a good start.
And a cam needs to be chosen based on all factors from gearing, wheels and mods used.

2002+ LS6 cam
204/218 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.551" / 0.547" int/exh lift
117 LSA

I would agree the cam on the small side, for sure that is MOST of the problem, along with...
So you did constant speed Tuning on your VE and MAF tables?
(I was just stating there is probably a fraction of power still on the table, but not worth hunting for).

Anyways.. OP - hope you figure it all out.
