Ovalized pipe, or routing it through the wheel well are both options I have in mind if ground clearance becomes an issue. With a tig welder and basic fab skills anything is possible. I ran the pipe under the car because it was the quickest option and at stock ride height I think I'll be fine.

I tried starting the car yesterday but it wouldn't run for more than a half second. I was hoping the car would at least idle, but the different MAP sensor, IAT sensor and deleting the MAF seems to be too much, lol . Can't say I'm surprised it didn't start. I'll be taking the ECU to G-Force tomorrow and having Mike program it with a base line tune.

I'll post a video of the first start up later this week.

Show me a blown stock motor due to high oil temps, give me a break.

With a modified motor all bets are off as every setup is different, but if its going to blow I would imagine a piston letting go first.

Your car makes me drool!! The hardest part im having when selling my LGT to get my CTS-V is that push into your seat feeling I get when my turbo hit(2500rpm or so in my subie)... The V seems to be like all NA cars and want to wait until 4000-5000rpm to really HIT with power.

with the V you will hit your power a little sooner then. i dont have V2 power like dom, but it certainly gets there before 4000. i have 350 ft lbs at 3000 rpm hit my peak of 370 at 4400. now, hp is a different story. just a smooth curve all the way up the power band.

long end of it, go look at my dyno thread and you will see that a V will hit peak at 4500 for torque and hp at 5500. at least for N/A mostly stock. heads, cams, intakes, and/or F/I will change that.

the V is CTS-V doesnt stand for V-Tech, where we dont make any power until 5500 rpm. haha.

LOL I was stating that more out of aggrevation because it's annoying. I know there has been no recorded blown stock motor because of high oil temps...

Chill bro i loved the old set up. I'm all for the new project.

I know man, just busting your chops, that came across as more aggravated than I really was.

G-Force re-flashed the ECU today to run with the 2bar MAP and new injectors. Just a base tune, but it should get me running. I'll have the ECU in tomorrow.

The refreshed ECU was perfect, started right up on the first try and ran like normal. I took it around the block, everything seems to be working right but I'm keeping it out of boost until i get the car back to G-Force for WOT tuning.

The only issue that came up is the turbos were siphoning oil from the motor when the car is shut off. The car smokes a LOT when you first start it up because the turbos were full of oil and leaking it into the exhaust. I have two check valves with 1psi cracking pressure on order, should be here next week.

Please excuse the cell phone pictures, I left my digital at home.

Engine bay all cleaned up, I need a strut tower bar if anyone wants to sell me one. Lost mine when I sold the maggie, not a huge deal.

Dusty as hell, but its all back together.

I still cant believe my dumb luck mounting the intercooler and the charge pipe, it literally clears by only millimeters, and I eyeballed the whole thing never measured once!

the money shot
