Default Competition mode on my way to work ....

This damn car is going to get me more tickets than my Firebird ever has, even when I was street driving it and it was going 9's.

Fun car to drive, making me look forward to my morning drive.

I'm so scared that I'm going to blow the rear apart.

Got the windows tinted and did the muffler delete so far.
Still need a shifter and to get it lowered a little.

Thats why I still DD mine. 8k miles on this setup. I figure replacing the valve springs every so often is a small price to pay for getting to DD a big cam'd car

I have patriot gold extreme double springs (good to .660) so I can't get much stronger than that..but with a .615 lift cam, I will replace them between 10k and 20k just for peace of mind.

Should last 20k or longer I would think.

I could never leave anything alone for that long though.

I have a few cams laying around I could throw in this thing I just dont want to ruin it.
If I want loud and annoying I can go start the Firebird up. LOL !

I ran the .660 springs with a .649 lift cam for a while and now I have the same springs on my .588 lift cam and they are still going strong. I even run accelerated lift Crane 1.8 roller rockers.

glad you are enjoying your car, and yeah the rear sucks monkey nuts. I say just drive it and if it breaks decide what you want to do at that point. I think if you are going to baby the car then there is no need to call it a sports sedan/performance car.

it must sound mean with the muffler delete.

The other day I got a little over zealous in the V exiting an off camber on- ramp. The rearend kicked way out, but I was able to bring her back. I was like whoa! That was fun.
I happened to look down at the rear tires when washing it a couple of days later, and noticed the Eagle F1's were bald! I just put on a set 275/40/18 Nitto Invo's today. It looks tough from the rear.
I truly enjoy driving this car every day. I'm putting a LS2/3 402 together for mine right now!

My fronts are completely gone right now. I will probably put invos on the front and some sort of sticky tire on the back.

Update ....
Since we are still waiting for the Firebird to come back from the chassis shop the lift was free so I took the wheels off and painted them.
Turned out nice, I'll get some pics up soon.

Now I need to lower the thing, prolly cut the springs and make my own rear level thingy. lol

How do the 275 Invo's fit on the rear clearance wise? I know they "should" be fine but always nice to know for sure.
