Default Lets see your aftermarket head units!

Hey, j/w if any of you guys are running aftermarket head units in your V's, and if so, if you could post pics of them. Ive got an Alpine sub and amp from my last car that id like to throw in the V eventually but im not sure if I want to try and integrate it with the factory NAV or replace it with something different.

Any problems arise from installing an aftermarket head unit on these cars?

I have an Kenwood touch screen in my car, I dont have a pic handy of it, I'll try to remember to get one when I get home, but I like it **** tons more than the stock system, I do however miss all the info I can get from the stock unit, I'll be modifying the whole setup here soon, that so I can have the stock one for this info, and the other one for my music

Man! I'm glad there is a solution to this because I've only had my V for a week & I can't stand the stereo. No bluetooth/mp3/usb is driving me crazy . . .

I guess the next question is . . .

Does an aftermarket stereo plug into the stock speakers just like any other install? Very curious . . .

Yeah it does with an install kit i would assume. Just would need a nice surround for the HU that replaces the one we have stock.

I just need a nice pick of how it would look.

It seems that all of the radio/nav functions and outputs are integrated into the class 2 data buss that nobody has decoded as of yet...this thread is pretty informational and the guy did a hell of a job...
