Default Monster Level 2 Installed

Had the Monster Level 2 with 28 lbs Flywheel was installed this past week/weekend, and I am almost done with my 500 mile break in. I have 600 miles on the set up now, of which 150 of road trip from Ft Worth to Abilene.

Now the write up...

At first, clutch was VERY firm. But as I put more miles on the clutch, the softer the feel became. Now, if feel close to stock but just slighty more firm. It may not be as soft and "nice" to press as the stocker, but it makes the throws, a whole lot better. The changes are very crips and a hell of a lot quicker. There is some chatter, but has slowely been going away with the more miles I have put on it. I went with a 28 lbs FW to keep the V more daily driver friendly. But even with the 28 lbs FW, throttle responese is significantly improves. It will rev up quicker, but wont drop very fast. Which has already been helpful when I was driving around the DFW airport in the Loading zone. Over all, I am very happy with the clutch. Daily driver friendly, but able to handle 525+ whp.

Now I have to fix my Reverse Lock Out Selaniod fixed, haha. It is engaged and wont stop. Car wont go in the reverse when the electrical system is on, but will when the car is completely off. So, drivable until I get the car back to SNL on the 30th to have everything fixed with that.

And the next day, I found something that may make me sell the V...a Black 2009 Z06 with 4950 miles on the clock...we shall see if that becomes the new Black Betty ...

You really want that clutch break in to be "city" miles. Although you will probably be fine, I wouldnt count the 150 miles of roadtrip towards your break in mileage.

I was def impressed with the feel of the new clutch when you came over on Saturday(no homo!!!) I'm thinking that you need to buy the 09 Z, come over one Friday and we will rip everything off your V including rims and replace it with all my stock parts(not joking!!!) Lol

If you do go with the Z than I get first dibs on everything bro! Lol

Yeah you *** bag. I told you the 500 needs to be city driving. NO ROAD TRIPS FOR BREAKING IT IN!

Don't come here complaining about chatter a few months later.

Cole: Hello, Monster? My clutch is only 3 months old and its chattering like a bitch.

Monster: Did you log 500 non-freeway miles for a proper break in like we told you?

Cole: Um, no. I took a road trip to the gay rodeo.

Monster: Click...dial tone...

i know...i put that in there as a subtraction of the total miles. i now have 512 city miles on the clutch, and there is Zero chatter. and it feels almost like stock.
