Its good to hear that things are finally running at least. Get that axle fixed and bring her back to Longview still dying to see it run, i checked it out while it was in the shop and i love those ccw wheels man i dont think there is a better looking wheel for the V.

Thanks Joe!

I was tired of my Monster stage 3 squealing and chattering and was out doing some hard driving to quiet it down for a while, and blew an inner CV. Now I gotta fix that.

I'm really, really considering pulling the tranny over christmas and replacing that damn clutch. I hate it... I hate it... I hate it... That would also be a good time to rebuild the tranny and fix my reverse synchro so it will stop popping out of gear when backing up. That of course would completely wipe out my savings for the forged bottom end.

As mentioned above... Caboom happened in several ways. Tranny blew up before I had enough saved to rebuild it, immediately after getting the tranny repaired we blew the motor before I had enough saved to built that!

End result--> Whipple for sale, need a motor!

That being said, there is 1 other V with a whipple happily roaming the streets (Black Magic's old car), and TommyCompton that is supposed to finish his install over the winter... AGAIN!

If you were to do it all over again. (this is saying you would do it again) do you think a iron block lower compression motor would help much?

I am thinking about selling my 02 ws6 and jumping into the "V" world. and a supercharger would be a must!

Keep in mind this is my daily driver, which sways my opinion to the conservative side but...

Honestly if I were to do it over again I would have stuck with a smaller magnuson like I originally had. When you look at $ spent to horsepower produced and then factor in reliability of the rest of the car.... it's the perfect compromise. Just enough power to make it really, really fun, but low enough not to require you to spend tons of money upgrading everything around it.

That being said, if you have the money to do it right and build it... DA*N was it fun having the Whipple! I would have loved to do a forged LS3 conversion... it would have been great!
