Default LS6 Whipple neaaaarly done...

Well, it took 2 days and 500 trips to the auto parts store, but it's FINALLY almost done.

Started with a somewhat incomplete Dragon Racing Whipple kit, and pieced together the missing pieces as I went along. I'm on a stock bottom end, so for now I'm going to stop at only 7-8 psi, hopefully make ~550 RWHP, and that should hold together fine until I have the money for a bottom end. The kits have made +1000HP, so I have PLENTY of room to grow.

I still need an LS3 harness, waiting on that one piece in the mail and then I can get her tuned!

Sorry, just crummy phone pics for now.

The middle one... 4.375" I think.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the spacer was the wrong size... that's another hold up...

Did the pulley spacer make your blower pulley appear to far to the outside?

This is twice I had to read about a whipple supercharger. Damn you people

So, I take it you're going to want to donate that "old" magnacharger to somebody in socal, eh? he he...I wish I could go with a blower, but I'm lucky to afford the little things right now; maybe someday though!

btw - I notice it sits pretty low, so assuming there is no intercooler? If not, were you planning on running some sort of water or meth injection? I suppose at only 7 psi or so may not make a huge issue, but sure would be cool to have a good amount of boost and keep the temps down!

Yes, it was nearly 1/4" outside the other pullies. I have to call Peter and get the right one ASAP, or machine this one down.

There is a VERY small intercooler down there. It's not much, but it does bring the temps down. I may run supplementary meth also, I'll just have to see how it does.

Thanks!

I just flipped mine around it seems to line up perfectly that way with the spacer.
The 4.38 pulley he sent me doesn't even have bolt holes like the 4 1/2" I have on there now. I'm not even sure it will work I may have to give him a call too.

Very Nice!

Is the blower anodized or powder coated?

Hmmm... You mean flip the pulley? I just tried it, it is closer, but still 3/16" offset. Could you tell me what spacer depth you have? Mine is 0.55".

I think it's regular auto paint. Mine is House of Kolor
Cobalt blue.

The whole piece is 0.58, when I flipped the pulley I'm about 1mm from dead center, the belt rides 1mm closer on the inside. Before flipping the pulley it was outside the other stock pulleys.
I'm hoping 1 mm isn't going to be a problem, I'm going for a tune on Weds.
I too have the middle option 6 rib pulley and it's 4.5", the other 3.38" pulley I have, I'm not even sure is the right pulley for our set up.

Interested in how much you're looking to get for your old kit as well.

Thanks!
