Default SO I got my 3rd speeding ticket in 3 weeks...Gotta love the V.

Before everyone starts the "Slow down...What did you expect dumbass!" 2 of the 3 were captured by a speed camera in Bluff City, Tn, so I didn't know I even had them until they came in the mail. First was 54 in 45...2nd was 64 in 45...SAME DAMN CAMERA 11 days later. Today I was caught red handed by a motorcycle trooper on the way back from the beach...71 in 55. The bad part is that since I've had the V over the past 14 mos I have put 70k on her and have avoided even being pulled over until I hit this little run....The 2 from the speedcam are only a $50 speeding "Fine Only" charge and no points will be against my license.....Just pay the "MAN" and go on...The Bama trooper ticket is a cool $174.....Guess the ole girl is getting more attention than I thought.

Do you run one?? I remember back in the day the old school radar detectors were crap...Went off every time you passed a grocery store or another car running one?

I have a valentine and use it constantly. And I wouldn't travel into Alabama without it. From my experience, Alabama HP does not play around.

I've been running a V1 for years and its saved me more than once!! Wouldnt drive without one now. It will go off by grocery stores and such, but does have some settings you can change to make it stop. Now I have to look but not sure if it will help you with the speed camera lol.

I haven't had a chance to pickup a V1 yet but the research I did showed me that its top of the line, and deff one of the best on the market! I don't leave my City enough to need one as I know all the hiding spots and also have a family member that works for the police station of the city I live in... I don't get bothered unless I'm being outright stupid...

I use the k-40 but generally cruise the speed limt . So, it has been great at alerting me to police presence as well. It works for me.

Ive wanted a V1 for a while now. I have heard so many great reviews from it, but they are illegal in VA, so does anyone have mounted in a place that cant be seen from the outside? Maybe Pics if you do.

Without a DOUBT...They DO NOT PLAY around. He walked up, asked for the DL and insurance...No "Hello, kiss my ***, where are you going?, or anything. Came back literally within one minute and said "Mr Owens 16 over is a little more than I will allow". Honestly the fastest ticket I ever got...The same song was on the radio when I met him and pulled off....$174 in less than 3 minutes. LOL

I saw him open the box on the back of his Hog and enter my stuff in the comp... Then he shut it without bringing any paper into the transaction yet.... I was.. for just a second....Thinking he might just let me slide. Then he opens the saddlebag and breaks out the ole printer....GAME OVER

I've had many fbodys and the V and I've had just as many trucks. I've got WAY more tickets in my trucks...but the few tickets I do have in my sports cars were BIG..haha. I've only had one ticket in the two years I've had this car. It was a 75 in a 60 and my slowest speeding ticket ever. It was the first time I've seen an electronic ticket writer. It was pretty cool. I was pulled over probably less than two minutes.

Far more tickets in my truck than the V so far...but then again, truck has more than twice the HP (and nearly 3 times the TQ) as the CTS-V.

Shitty part is, assuming the masses down your way drive the same as the masses around here(which they seem to drive the same way everywhere), your speeds really aren't that excessive. Most are probably doing close to the same speeds as you. 15 over the limit is a good starting point around here.

Somebody's collecting some serious amounts of fine money...

The valentine is NOT the be all, end all radar detector. There are equally sensitive with a greater feature set detectors for less out of pocket.

IMO, people that solely preach the valentine are akin to people thinking the iphone is the only smartphone.
