Ok. Did my first auto x the v Sunday and had some issues.
1. Oil temp warning was going crazy. Was reading around 280-320 degrees. (Running mobile 1 full synthetic)
2. The power steering cap was tight but still was getting a little fluid sprayed all over.
Anyone have these probs b4? Weather was nasty. Humid and about 93 degrees with a heat index of 108. But was my first real thrashing of the car like this and do not want a repeat of problems the next time around.

Just had this issue myself and I ditto this fix. I took my dremel and a piece of fine sandpaper and cleaned off the area where the ground connects on the body panel next to the battery (cleaned off body paint, bolt and connectors) . The ground wire is located on the passenger-side where you see the hood hydraulic lift/shock. I also cleaned the ground on the front of the passenger-side head (cleaned the block and connectors). Fixed my problem right up.

1. Bad grounds.
2. Flush the fluid a replace with a better fluid (Amsoil, etc). If That doesn't work upgrade the PS cooler. Cheap and easy to do mod.

The ground by the hood support on the passenger side was my problem. Took it off scraped all the paint off where the ground was and it hasn't happened since.
