Default LAPD Bleeder: Which One

I just bought a LS9X clutch and am looking to buy the bleeder as well. 2005 CTS-V with the OEM slave, do I need to buy the C5/Z06 bleeder or the C6/Z06 bleeder? thanks!

That end piece on the left (that goes into the slave) looks kind of long

Tick performance informed me that the C6 bleeder is a direct fit on the slave. I asked about a special adapter and they said it didn't need one.. hopefully this is the case!

Do you need to drop the tranny to install a speed bleeder?

I would HIGHLY recommend adding a remote line when you change out your clutch. It's a no brainer. Unless you like being on your back of course

Lolly, you did the clutch yourself correct? How long did it take you? Is it difficult with the car just on jacks??

Ya man.....

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...h-install.html

Should only take 4 1/2 hours I would think. Shops usually charge $300 for a clutch install.

What's the difference between these 2 bleeders? Why does the 2nd one need that extra coller?

It looks to me like they both have that small piece in the pics. If they didn't, how would you screw it into the slave?

That said, I would make sure I said something when ordering to make certain they include. Never can be too careful

You cannot clear the bellhousing opening with the tick bleeder, period. You have to bend the hell out of that end to get it to fit.

Yes, the end that screws into the slave is long, it bottoms out and moves around even when it is snug. I personally believe it does not seal well. The pitch of the end does not match the stock bleeder either.

I installed mine from tick, and something was leaking. I took it out and could not find any leaks from the slave, only the bleeder. Either I didn't tighten it enough, I jeopardized the seal at the joint when I bent it, or that end isn't the right one.

I'm actually taking mine to a place today to see if they can salvage the line with a better fitting or just make me a custom one..

If not, I'm going with the lapd like I should have in the first place.

I thought people just notched the bellhousing a bit for that? Anyway, I have a never installed tick performance bleeder for sale for 45 if anyone wants it. I bought it from a forum member but never installed before I sold my V1 to get the V2. PM ME

BTW, my tick bleeder does not have that 45 degree angle bend...it is straight:
