To buy or no 427 stroker inside
New style LSx block
Callies Crank and Rods
11.5:1 Compression wiseco pistons coated grapped for a 400 shot
427 stroker
0 miles on it, guy is asking 4k. Is this good?
My good friend who is a tuner said this motor, with a nice set of ls7 heads, and ls7 intake would make a nice 525-550 range pending on cam.
Right? Go for it or no. Total of $5,500 for the motor basically

SOOOO about that #?
On a real note that sounds like a steal as long as everything is done right, I've seen what ppl thought were good deals turn into a nightmare.

Car will still be an amazing dissappoint with that power IMO. Youll have 500-550rwhp and might go low 120mph. No way will the driveline in the V ever handle a 400 shot either.
Hate to be debby downer but ive said it once and ill say it again, N/A in the V is a complete waste of time and money.

The vast majority of V owners have never driven anything with even close to a 120mph trap speed, so to say that would be an amazing disappointment is kind of silly.

I think what you meant to say was, "Expecting a 4000# car with a poorly designed rear end to be a monster drag car with huge trap speeds, regarless of how you choose to make big power, is a complete waste of time and money."

I roll race the car on the street mostly, don't do the drag strip often. I decided against it, I was thinking more along the lines of what kind of return do I get for the money. These cars modded hold value well, but I won't see much out of that kind of build. I just don't know if dumping that money into her will be worth it. I think the car would be sick from a roll still, but oh well. I'll wait until I get a c6 z06 in 1-2 years

I say do it! Thats a bonestock na 427 pushing as much as a c6z06 sure it will beat you stock for stock but, who cares you'll be on the same level as a c6z06 how many 4000# grocery getters can say that. Plus if your like me I dont care about peoples opinion of what the caddy can and can't do I am totally happy with it as a daily and project. Anyone can pick up a piece **** and strip and build it for drag only(which i plan to do aswell), how many can drive a "luxury sedan" as a dd and still compete with a c6z06? Plus if you wanna really want my opinion I'd do the 427+blower+9inch=c6z06pownage!!!

+145 lbs right off the bat in an already heavy car, and every bit on the front end. You'd probably have to stiffen up the front to keep from losing some height (and handling).
It's still a pretty good deal, but it would be much better with the aluminum case instead of the iron.
