Default Stock Rear Diff

I bought a Gforce 9" for my V and it will be here in about a week.
I am removing the stock diff, (2005 CTS-V), has 33,251 miles on it, there are no problems with it, just modding my car to how I want it so the stock diff needs to go. I have zero clue what the diff is worth, if anything. What does the forum community suggest? Trying to figure this out so when I pull the diff next week I can possibly sell it. Thanks!

Shoot me a PM once you figure out what you want for it. I wouldn't mind having a spare one sitting around.

Buy my race axles that I have for sale and you won't have to worry about the diff.

Really?, why's that? Seems to me if that was the case, you'd still have your stock diff & race axles.

Wheelhop (w/ stock axles) breaks the diff. The axles stop wheelhop. When did this become rocket science? lol

Besides, I'm planning for future engine mods and decided to the drivetrain first to handle go fast goodies later.

You're contradicting yourself.

Those axles don't stop wheel-hop. Reduce it....sure, stop it...nope.
Wheel-hop (w/ any axles) breaks the stock diff.

the 1000HP's (from what I have read) completely eliminate wheel hop.

They still hop very slightly in the rain but that's it.

How or when I contradicted myself. You think I'm the only one who bought the "race" axles & didn't get rid of the hop 100%? Even you yourself admitted it a few posts up. I'm not gonna ruin the OP's thread any longer than I already have. If you need to continue this conversation lets do it via PM instead.

Sorry EVEL V

No worries, it's all good. BUT, I would like to know what my stock stuff is worth, if anything? Getting closer to install, I'll have my goodies early next week.

Depends on the part number. Gen 3 or 4 then I'd say $500+. Gen 1 or 2 then worth what you can scrap it for... Honestly though I'd pay $200 for a gen 1 or 2 IF mine was broke and I needed one ASAP.

I'd say $350-$500 for a gen 4.

Agreed cobra. I'm done beating the dead horse.
