black wheels?

black wheels? So I swapped on the winter wheels/tires today. I decided to spray the wheels on one side with that Duplicolor Shield, to see how they'd look grey/black. I actually ran out, so the rear is a little splotchier looking, but you can't tell from a distance.
The stuff will wash off, so it's just to see if I like it. It's matte with a little bit of grey metallic flake, so not a black like Plasti-Dip.
I have to say, they look really mean. And they make the brakes look much more impressive, because the calipers really stand out.
And the stock side:
I'd thought more about a lighter gunmetal gloss color if I had to refinish them, but this looks really badass. Not sure if I'd pay to have them painted though. I think Plasti-Dip would be a little too flat looking on wheels, but maybe not.

Normally I would not like that to much. To be honest, I thought the grille did not look that good on the car before. I just thought the color looked off. The darker grays and black don't go well with Redline/Infared Vs IMO.
But both the wheels colored as well as the grille, it really makes everything look and flow better together. Looks really good together, nice work sir.

Black cars have a lot more options when it comes to wheel colors. Aurora, I'm picking up a set of LC855s after seeing someone else on this forum pick up a set. I'll post pictures eventually.
