Default Vengeance Racing CTS-V Coupe 591RHWP/604RWTQ DETAILS/GRAPH/VIDS/PICS INSIDE

Check out this beautiful Caddy! Gotta love it! This is a 2011 CTS-V Coupe, and with only a 2.55 upper pulley and a 10% overdrive lower she put down 591 & 604 to the tires!

Nice numbers. V2s are so strong. I bought the V1 you all built for Cowan Gilmer a few months ago. Has 96,XXX miles now and still going strong. Maybe after CS rear end, I get some ideas for 6.0 based stroker from you all.

The baseline was with the 2.55 upper pulley already installed and tuned. To get the 591 we installed the overdrive pulley, 72 lb injectors and retuned!

A -10% overdrive balancer doesn't net you 100 RWHP and 105 RWTQ. I suspect a poor tune from whatever shop the car initially came from, or that someone was monkeying around with the dyno sheet at Vengeance.

Based on a cursory Google search, it seems that dyno tuning sessions posted by members at the Corvette Forums support the latter theory. All I can say for certain is that they're using a DynoJet, and their numbers aren't SAE corrected (so figure 4% inflation because STD doesn't account for friction torque). Most 2nd generation CTS-V's with a 2.55" pulley make around 100 RWHP over stock (which is usually in the 475-490 RWHP neighborhood). So I'm guessing Vengeance might've made 5-10 RWHP with the -10% overdrive, which is about right.

If my math doesn't line up, let me know. If I'm wrong, I'd honestly like to know.

It's a 10% OVERDRIVE pulley and will net typically 40whp due to the roughly 3.5 lbs of boost increase over stock with just pulley upgrade. That along with the 2.55 upper installed, numbers are a tad high from others, but can be accounted for in differences of dyno to dyno comparisons. A 2.55 upper install will net 85-90 whp on average. Depends on the tune, octane and tuner.

Good job vengeance racing. Looks promising for potential upgrades.

Any thoughts on what this car should run at the track? It's an automatic on street tires.

98cherryss, you'll be the first to find out, from half track that is.

Shopping for extra rims and MT stickies first, new, larger HX and larger HX tank after that.

The rest is a secret...

Went out and practiced launches tonight, not so easy with TC off. MT's should help a lot. It was 58 degrees at 11:00 tonight, makin power for sure!!

Thanks, Kevin, Ron, Ryan and Mike at Vengeance, love what you've done to my car!

No. Upper pully was on and larger intake tube with a K&N. Most of the baseline pulls I've seen are around 450ish+.

thats an amazing number to get without a cam.

I barely make that with a better CAI and LS9 cam. curious how you got the LPE elbow to flow, mine stalled at around 560 at the wheels even with a cut air box and switching to a better CAI picked up ~30 at the wheels.

how much boost are you making now, and do you have plans to add a HX to compensate for the heat created by the ~15-16 psi?

Approximately 13.5 in boost, yes, a larger HX tank and cooler are on-deck regardless in preparation for the next round of mods.

I'll defer the elbow flow etc. to Vengeance, I imagine the tune by Mike deserves a lot of credit.

Where did you cut the airbox? Seems to me cutting the top to allow additional flow may be counter intuitive allowing hotter air from inside the engine bay, just curious. I learn from everyone elses experience around here.
