Default Add on halo rings ebay style

Has anyone tried the add-on halo kit they have on ebay? http://www.ebay.com/itm/170945970481...84.m1423.l2649 I have a extra pair of headlights to experiment with. I am typically more into go-fast stuff but I must admit halos look cool.

I read though a few threads and I was under the impression that everyone was using complete replacement headlights rather than retrofitting the original projectors with halos. My bad.

Oh, I'm sorry. That's MY bad--I thought you were talking about the complete replacements.

The problem with adding your own homemade halos is that they're going to look weird wrapped around that chrome "transformers" looking piece in the OEM headlights. And that's assuming that you can cleanly bake off the lens and put it back on.

I tried it, opened the factory headlights painted insides black and had planned on adding halos, still have them actually. Don't do it, the headlights are never the same once you open them and most likely you'll bust the **** out of the plastic opening them (yes I did the oven trick). Plus it just looks cheap and ricey.

Better bet, sell your factory lights for near the same price as the already retrofitted aftermarket like fuzzy and I have.

Thanks, I am glad I asked before I effed up a set of lights. I like subtle changes and this would definitely qualify.

What diameter did you get? Were you able to put everything back together properly? I would also like to see a pic of them in the daylight. Thanks

Yes, lots of torques. Enough for 10 Honda Cars!

I disagree, I think it looks good. Curious to see what it looks like in the daylight though.

The blue color and the LED pattern is what throws me off. Halos look good when they're one solid, contiguous white ring. I imagine that these look especially bad during the day, since I can't see any way to install the rings without making a horrible mess of the chrome surround.

I'm with you. Not a fan of these things. I don't like them when they are a factory option either. Decorative lighting is a bit 90's. Hasn't been long enough to be retro-cool either.

Opinions and A-holes though. It's your car. Make it however you like.

Was doing horse trading with a buddy of mine. He wanted to do it, and said WTH.

I draw the line at neon underglow kits.

Don't knock 'em tell you've tried 'em! hahahaha

Nothing like dropping a few hundred dollars on some fancy new neon color changing lights on the V...
