I changed the oil. Timed it just right, the drive to drop off the old oil yielded a ‘Change Engine Oil’ notification on the DIC. my 2 mile commute is definitely geting noticed by the computer. I’m now at 52,650.

There’s a pretty good chance I didn’t reset it the last time I changed it because it was last spring at 51k miles. The previous time where I may have remembered to do so was right around 47k miles in 2015 lol.

Very telling of how the computer is programmed to take lots of things into affecting that OCI notice. Short commutes are hell on cars.

It would be more telling if I could really remember if I reset it at the 51k change. But still 4-5k is short change for the onboard monitor in my experience. I rarely hit it in the couple years I was commuting 20-30 miles each way daily. And that was with 5-6k oil changes

Well the good news is that they've made it stupid simple. A complete LUK kit will run you $425-$445.

well have to give bfg some credit, took my car down to the tire shop so they could do there "inspection" and report back to them. bfg told the manager to make it right and pro rate me a new set. the guy at discount was shocked they told him to do it on the spot, ordering them in when i get back next week and i am back in business!

Washed, clay bar’d and waxed it for the first time. Wheels were dirty as hell but it all cleaned up pretty good.

Shortened the rear exhaust brace so it both clears the 8.8 and no longer taps on the frame rail.

Previous bandaid solution was heat wrap between the frame and pipe. Got tired of eating fiberglass weekly when replacing it.

My car is quiet now. Time to start getting price quotes for the 3" X force setup. Should give a nice option between commute and party.

Currently at 90db @4k rpm without the tapping. Tapping added 3 db. Gotta stay under 98 db for UAE rules. The xforce promises 85 db closed and 96 open. Sounds ideal for my needs.

Took it for an alignment. Nothing exciting really. Couple of 0.1 adjustments on the left side. Last alignment was after a unibody pull from a rearend accident several years ago. Steering feels less heavy now.

If pulled over and sent to a station it's 5M at a 45° angle. Same as UK.

I'm well under that now. Borla attack is over it, stainless works is over it also. Corsa is right on the line as per conversations with their tech departments.

gonna need to order me up a luk clutch kit sometime.
Cause this pos slave or whatever is makeing noise is driving me nuts, whenever the motor is cold when i press in the clutch and start to release it something makes a squeeling noise, makes the sound of like a belt slipping or a pulley is seizing up, does it for a few seconds, does that everytime i go to release the pedal, only untill the i drive for a bit and the engine warms up for a few mins, just gonna send it for now

Welded up a cracked wheel so I can get my new tires on next week. Mostly working on the truck for camping season.

Pulled out the rear seats to work on a rattle from the passenger rear.

Might be a loose nut on a aftermarket spherical shock top mount.

Need to load the shock and see if the top is loose.

Washed it, for the first time in too long. Clay barred the hood, as I could feel while drying it that it was not smooth. Obviously the whole car needs it, but it was already dark and I still needed to clean the wheels. I really need to bite the bullet and pay someone to come detail it, as I just never get around to doing it.

I had the same mounts. The passenger side mount was bottoming out and never getting tight. Took them out and put the hard rubber mounts back in.
