What did you do to your V today?

Popped the sun roof **** off for some reason, about to sell the damn car since I can't get it back together and they made some stupid *** wire so damn short so you can't see the insides to take it down.
Working on this car makes me feel like a bull in a China shop. Every time I try to do something, something breaks.

- Changed the oil in preparation for the first track event of the year next weekend.
- Installed a Monster billet release bearing support on an LS7 slave.
- Found a V6 CTS with a manual at the junkyard, grabbed the shifter assembly. I wanted a spare ****, just as a cheap throw-away option, and I also wanted to look at how the shift **** notch on the stock lever compares to the aftermarket levers. (I could get the **** off my stock lever relatively easily. Took some effort, but it would come off. Not so much with the UUC and Hurst shifters - the **** just will NOT come off.)
- Dropped the car @ Lindsay for a clutch & slave swap. Going back to the ACT twin I used to run, along with the LS7 slave.

That's about when you decide to pull the engine and trans and leave the rest of the car on the side of the highway.

Last trip to the dealer under warranty, end this month. gave them a list of items. including radio stays on after you turn off the car and open the door. twice I went in the garage and heard music playing and once to a dead battery.
And yes they tried to sell me a extended warranty for $4,000.00, I smiled and gave them the bite me look. With the mods and re-tuning they will pork me later.

- Got it back from Lindsay on Thursday. Robert reinstalled the ACT twin that used to be in the car, replaced the RPS/Tilton slave with an LS7 slave w/Monster billet bearing support, removed the too-notchy Hurst shifter and went back to my old UUC, and fixed a couple other issues that were discovered while the transmission was out.
- Got it aligned on Friday.
- Saturday I got it ready for a track day on Sunday. Pulled the rear seat, installed rear track pads, installed front track pads and rotors, bled the brakes, installed brake cooling ducts, loaded all the track day **** into the car.
- Drove to the track Saturday evening. Had a CEL / "Reduced Engine Power" pop up while cruising south on 95, of course while I was in the left lane in moderate traffic. Was pretty confident it was the throttle body / TAC error code that has occasionally popped up in the past, and knew with "reduced engine power" I would very quickly get run over on the highway. Realized my code scanner was at home. ****! Fortunately traffic wasn't too bad, so I was able to safely drift over to the right shoulder before losing much speed. Tried shutting it off and re-starting, hoping that it would clear the code when the TB did whatever start-up checks it does. Nope. *sigh* Dug the tool box out of the back seat, disconnected the battery to reset the ECU, hooked it back up, continued on to the hotel.
- Spent Sunday @ Dominion Raceway, did about 105mi on track. Skipped my third session - the heat and humidity were really taking it out of me after the first couple sessions, so I needed a power nap. Felt much better during my fourth/final session. I was lazy, so I only set up my camera for my final session, and didn't set up any of my data gathering; I'll get some video posted in the near future.

Not today but Friday I replaced the top windshield trim that had split in half.
Today I put a small circular number magnet below the fender V emblem. When my son doesn’t want to go to preschool I tell him we’re taking the racecar. He kept telling me racecars have numbers and mine needs to be 58. My wife bought me a black 58 on a red circle magnet for fathers day.

Bought it a set of TEA stage 2 CNC’d heads that had been hand worked and chambers softened by BTR. Hollow LS3 intake valves that have been turned down to 2.04 and stainless 1.57 exhaust valves with BTR .660 springs. Hopefully it will wake her up even more so than it already is with the 122.
Also bought a McLeod RXT with an aluminum flywheel, CS billet toe links, wide wheel trailing arms, bronze shift linkage, all new poly control arm bushings front and rear with greasable bolts, sway bar bushings, and lower shock bushings with greasable bolts.
then to top it all off, the wife bought me a Mighty Mouse wild catch can for Father’s Day that finally shipped. Ol girl is going to get some loving when I get home from Afghanistan!

112,500 miles.
Did a brand new ac delco alternator, ac delco ac belt and main belt and ac delco upper and lower tensioner and idler, also did a fresh oil change with a long ac delco pf58 filter.
i hate workin on this damn car, always a pita to work on, that damn ac belt and tensioner was worse than moveing the ps pump to the side to get the alternator out
