More HPDE prep:
- Changed the oil.
- Pulled the ******* back seat out. I hate that thing.

- Got it aligned and tech inspected at a local performance shop. Heading to PittRace for an HPDE this weekend.

- Picked up a couple oil filters so I can change the oil at some point this week, also in preparation for the HPDE

- Not today, but forgot to share this one a month or so ago. Nice dent on the top of the driver side fender - someone dropped something pretty heavy on it while it was sitting in a lot on the Army/Marine base for a few weeks. Dent is probably ~6" long; fortunately it's not on the crease at the top of the fender, so maybe a PDR pro can take care of it. Haven't looked into that yet.

I have nearly the same dent on mine.

hoping I can stand it until next year when I plan to let the body shop freshen up the entire car.

That really blows. I'm guessing it was a Chevy dealer or something? Here is what I got from the caddy dealer:

Cadillac PK3+ key blanks are less than $20 per pair if you're really upset.

Well, it's been a long time coming, finally insured and tagged again! First time driving to work in over 5 year off the road. Still needs a tune but it's getting there!

Amsoil during track season; whatever synthetic is on sale during the off-season. Filters vary - ACDelco is on it now, but I bought a Bosch Premium at the same time I bought the ACDelco, and I've used Mobil1 and K&N filters in the past. I use filters listed for the Northstar, as they're bigger (taller) than the filters listed for the LS6.

That red with the dark wheels is possibly my favorite color combo on the V1's. That car looks great!

CEL came on during my drive home from work yesterday. I stopped by the parts store and they reviewed the codes.
1. P0102,Mass Airflow (MAF) Circuit Low Voltage Input
I'll start by cleaning the MAF and checking the connector/wiring

2. P0455, System Gross Leak Evaporative Emission
I've replaced the gas cap twice since I've owned the car. Last time was when I was getting the city emissions inspection done in August, less than a year ago. I regularly get a check gas cap message on my DIC, but I think it's more related to the filler hose since I moved it when attempting to install upper control arms without fully lowering the rear cradle (unsuccessful). I supposed I could also stop by an emissions place and throw the guy $5 for checking my cap.

3. U0107, Lost Communication with Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module
I'm wondering if this is also a grounding issue. I found a video on the tube, but his symptoms were shutting off completely. I have no symptoms other than the CEL.

Made myself a bumper brace. It's not as pretty as the Paragon bumper brace, but it works! I didn't bother bending the middle tabs down like they did, I just set the bumper tabs right on it. I did bent up tabs on both ends to support the sides like they did though. I can't believe how much gap it takes out under the hood and no more flop. It's really solid now. Anyway, took me about 2 hours. Made a template with cardboard and then cut it out of some .060 aluminum. I trimmed the 2 middle clips so they would go through the top instead of the bottom and then threw a little black paint on it when I was done and you don't even see it with the grill in.

Also if any body needs new clips, I got these off eBay. They are just a hair shorter than the stock clips and the lock up really well. There is no rattle or anything with these.

May i ask what the brace is for?
