AAIIIC, you might want to consider SRP pedals, which include a dead pedal for that bare spot on the carpet.

I already have pedals; like I said, that first picture was old. (It was actually the "before" picture from back when I was installing pedal covers, and is even older than I thought - that was 2007.) I didn't install the aluminum dead pedal on the new carpet because I didn't want to put any holes in it. Luke @ Lindsay is ordering me another new carpet, so this one will be getting returned.

Interestingly enough, Luke said this carpet (specifically the ebony driver side front) is the only one that has not been discontinued. All of the other carpet sections for the '03-07s, in all colors, have been discontinued.

I've had those SRP pedals and after about 50k of everyday driving, the clutch pedal got dull (worn) from all the use and started getting a little slippery when wet. The Brake pedal isn't nearly as worn so I could switch them but I just went v2 instead and like them very much....

anybody want a good deal on my SRPs, pm me. They're still very useable

Don't have that handy but if you eBay "cts pedals" you'll see them.

the only thing missing is the ebrake pedal and I saw on eBay that some of the older Harley Davidson F150s had an ebrake cover that looks like it could work and looks like a match visually....i ordered one up and its in transit.

Yep. I have set of V2 pedals but haven't installed them for the reasons you identified. I think the best (but more expensive option) is to order a second set of SRP pedals in the bare finish and send them out for Type III hard anodize. Regular Type II anodize doesn't really improve wear resistance of aluminum.

i inherited the SRPs in another deal and the only reason I went v2 is because the SRPs were starting to wear and I already used the factory pieces to complete the car I robbed the SRPs off of to begin with. So for me, the best option was to leave them alone to begin with although they do look nice....

Hammered out about 165mi on track. Rotated tires and re-bled the front brakes, all ready to go for tomorrow:

Swapped my carrier bearing for the voodoo chicken poly bearing, more than pleased with that. Installed my wide band so I can start tuning. Also installed some new exhaust gaskets after the cats.

Cranked out another 160mi or so on track Sunday, then drove home. Rolled 138,000mi on the way home. Burned 48gal of gas over the 2 days (just on track - doesn't include the trip to/from).

Missed 1 session to change the passenger side header-to-cat pipe gasket. (I knew it was starting to go, just didn't have time before the event to change it.)

This is for the Camaro/G8 JBA shorty headers and cat pipes I have on the car. Driver side isn't an issue, because it's V-banded (had to be modified to clear the steering shaft, so the shop V-banded it). I should probably have the same done on the passenger side, as the gaskets just don't last. Flanges are flat, as best I can tell, and are pretty thick (3/8" or more, I'd say).

For those that don't know.

The Corsa Cat back doesn't have a front or mid hanger and has quite a few clamped connections. The simple reason for all these clamps isn't adjust-ability but ease of shipping. The lack of a mid support puts the entire weight of the system on your headers and the two stock rubber hangers at the very rear of the car. Stress is concentrated at the weakest point which is the welds on the resonators and headers. The resonator welds cracking is a common failure point on this system. Premature header weld failure is also symptom.

I'll post up a description of what was done and pics of the final setup when complete this weekend. Then next project is hood and headlight gaps!
Did you get the Corsa welding mod knocked out? If so, how did things turn out?

^^^ I was at VIR with Chin Motorsports.

- Got the car de-trackified. Normally I swap everything over before I leave the track (so I'm usually one of the last to go because of the amount of work required). This time I left the track pads and rotors on and just put on the street wheels for the ride home, because I knew I wanted to install new street pads and rotors and figured there wasn't any reason to carry that **** to the track.

So, swapped out the front rotors and pads and rear pads. "New" front rotors are really retired track rotors (OEM 2-piece V2 Brembo rotors) - they've got tons of thickness left, but are heavily heat checked, so I put new rotors in service for the track. Hopefully they won't chew up the street pads too quickly; time will tell.

New pads are Powerstop Z26; I have Z23s on my little beater Impreza, and I've been surprisingly happy with them, so I figured I'd give these a shot. Old street pads are ACDelco semi-metallics that I like a lot, but they're pretty dusty. It'll be nice to have less dusty pads, but I don't know if I'll be satisfied with the performance of the Z26s.

Also reinstalled the spare and jack, and finally reinstalled the rear seat, which hasn't been in the car for 4 or 5 weeks.

I have been running the z26 for the last few thousand miles and love them. They take a surprising amount of abuse and they don't brake the bank.

Ive done these mods since about February but still haven't gotten to drive the car lol.

Voodoo DS bearing, TSP 228r cam/valvetrain I had laying around from other builds.

Plan on doing new intake pipe and some drive ability tuning soon so I can at least drive it till formats comes back to Gettysburg. Hopefully have headers by then!
