Went to a somewhat local autocross. Should have just stayed home. What was supposed to be a few scattered showers was more like several monsoon like downpours with scattered sunshine. Even had a good friend hydroplane across several lanes of traffic before meeting a guard rail (got lucky and safely drove home).
Anyways, earlier in the week I installed the Hotchkis front and rear sways. During the install one of the bolts on a front end link snapped clean off. So in a rush I bought two new cheapy end links from Advance Auto. Took it for a spin and heard a rattle over bumps. Went back and tightened them down as far as we could without using other means.
About half way through the event I noticed that I was hearing lots of rattling from the front. Haven't had a chance to get back underneath it; but has anyone else done the install and noticed anything strange afterwards? The friend that helped with the install thinks it's just coincidence and I probably have a bad ball joint, but that seems to coincidental to me.
Also on the way home a small rock nailed the edge of my windshield. Now there is a crack across half of my windshield. Going to call Safelite Monday. Anyone have any idea of the general cost of having it replaced?
Video of said autocross just because...

I always recommend against safelite. They use their own glass which I swear is made of rock candy. One mild stone chip and it's cracked again. And if they can see any chip at all, their warranty is void. Go for Ryan's or a dealer. Safelite will also quote low and then tell you that was based on 'reusing' parts that aren't reuse able once they get the old windshield out. Myself and another close friend of mine had both of our windshields only last 11 months and were both told to go screw when they didn't last.

Care to tell me how much the dealer charged for a windshield? I'm all for buying an OE windshield, but if Safelite will do it for 1/4 the cost it may be hard for me to justify at the moment.
I can tell that I have noise from both the front and rear right now. My friend is trying to convince me that the rears probably just need new end links even though they were perfect before the install. He sounds like a shotty mechanic trying to pass the buck, but he really is just a friend who helps me turn a few wrenches.

Safelite gave me a quote equivalent to rape. Like $540. I called around and got as lowbas 180 but more in the 240-260 range. I am planning on having one of the middle priced companies out. F safelite.

I replaced the windshield in my work car with safelite glass and it had pitting within days and a year later it was chipped and cracked worse than the original I replaced. Soo I second the rock candy remark..

For end links I use these:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Supra-MA70-GA70-JZA70-adjustable-sway-bar-endlink-Swaybar-End-Links-/121319889428?vxp=mtr&ViewItem=&item=121319889428&nma=true&si=%252Ff2s56Et%252Bsoq%252BPO0vanQxUUxYv4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
They are wayyyy cheaper then what Naf posted (which I think is a rip off with a high cadillac tax) as they are what Fuzzy recommended. You do have to cut down the threaded rod some but thats easy. I realize that auction is over but just watch that seller, he will post more up eventually. That is how I got mine, I asked him if he had more and he let me know when and I bought them.
