I'd be quite surprised if GM/Cadillac used different rear end components (control arms or whatever). I thought the width difference was just in the wheels - coupes got wider rears than sedans & wagons.

I’ll measure within the next day or two

I looked up the part number (20931063) the left of the pinion flange and GM says it’s a CTS V Coupe carrier

This is great info, I was going to take the 8.8 route but now I changed my mind. I’m going to start looking for the parts now and try to get the best deal on it, by the time summer rolls in I’ll be ready to knock this out of the list.

So I now have 21000 miles on mine. My stock driveshaft carrier bearing is getting pretty bad from sagging. Can someone with a stock rear pull driveshaft measure form rear transmission flange to stock v1 flange and get me a length? I want to know exactly how much it is different as I would not have thought this driveshaft would of lasted that long with it "1/2 inch short" This would put this issue to bed for sure.

Pretty much everything is here man. Start wrenching and if you come across something that kicks your ***, come here, ask, and we can point you in the right direction.

Can you use subframe bolts from a v2 or do u have to have some custom made and do u know the length by any chance? I got a whole subframe along with the bolts for it. And i still have my v1 subframe bolts as well.

V2 subframe bolts should work. Scroll up a page or two and read. I have bolt dimensions in my write up

Just curious. Do i need to get the v2 brake lines to connect my calipers to the v2 subframe? I messed with the v1 brake lines and they dont seem to want to go into the v2 hard lines
