Can Someone Clarify How To Override Dvd Player safety PLEASE HELP ME TO OVERIDE THE DVD. MY KIDS LOVE IT IN THE ESCALADE AND WOULD LIKE TO PLAY IN THE CTS-V.

sure.
Engage the parking brake. Insert the DVD, let it play. Then press the disk skip button and the 2nd button from bottom on the right hand side of the screen at the same time. Pop the parking brake and you should be ready to roll. Once the movie is playing, the contols will no longer work, i.e. the volume, chapter skip, etc.

if the dvd player monitors the parking brake being engaged is there any way you can wire something differently so that it thinks the brake is on when your driving so you can still use all your controls???

If you put the E-brake down, the ABS wont work (I am pretty sure) as well it wont work because it will detect that the car is going over 5. mph... I think someone tried this before clinton found the "hack".
