Dyno results w/ Corsa & CIA
Well I finally got around to dynoing and modding the V. Only took a week and a half. Here's the graph and I'll explain more below.
BLUE: Baseline run, bone stock. It did 327 hp and 321 torque. I was pretty happy with those numbers after seeing a lot of stock cars dynoing lower.
RED: Put on the Corsa Catback and strapped it back down. After some disappointing results and realizing I had the AC on (operator error ) it made almost 338 hp but I had a spike in the torque number. Not sure what happened there but as you can see from the graph it picked up everywhere. I just can't say enough how pleased I am with the Corsa. The sound is great and the fit and finish with nothing less then perfect. It took longer to wash up then to install the exhaust. I would have been more then happy with the exhaust just from the sound even if it would have shown no gains.
GREEN: With the car still strapped down I put on the More Cold Air Induction. It made just over 344 hp peak and picked up nice power and torque over 4000rpms. It was a very smooth install except trying to remove the factory rubber duct. It fit very nice and surprisingly not loud at all. I think the induction will show better results have running the car a while and letting the computer recalibrate. I just made 2 pull after the install, it was already 10pm.
Overall I'm very please with these 2 mods. I picked up 17 hp and 17 ftlb of torque with less the 2 hours of work. All runs were made at about 190 coolant temps. Next up I think I might try tweaking the tuning a bit.

Paul,
You might want to watch were the filter goes through the opening in the More CAI. Mine ended up rubbing on the metal and splitting (filter) and throwing a code. Replaced with the Lingenfelter CAI and I am much happier.
Not trying to knock a vendor, but the Ling piece is a better fit and has more filter area. Pic below.

Well worth the effort, but would you say well worth the $1300?
I'm curious about the CAI for the V's. Some of them only replace the box and not the air ducting. Has anyone looked through the stock air ducting? I'm not sure what they were trying to do, but I imagine there'd be some horsepower gained by switching the ducting along with the box.

Yes.. Stealthv has looked at the ducting and it is VERY restrictive... Therefore, the stealthV FFV intake replaces the ducting as well...

StealthV has a very nice set up. It's just hard to pay 200.00 for it. The GTO has a lot of different throttle body to Maf setups and I'm thinking about using on of there's. Very similar to ours. I will say this since I've had them both. The MP CAI can't compare to the Ling CAI. Like apples to oranges.

Without a doubt YES!! Like I said before I would have been happy with no power gain. Just the look of tips and the growl of the exhaust lets you know this aint no ordinary Cadillac. I know I put exhaust on everything I own for more then just power, the sound and look are at least half the benefit.

Sorry but that A/C thing is a myth. I made 2 passes with the AC on and I was down 15 horses. Turned the AC off and the car picked right back up and just to be sure I made another pass at the end with the AC back on and lost 12rwhp. The computer may turn the compressor off but something is still dragging down the power.

Hmmm....my guess would be the fans. I know they pull a lot of amperage, and I don't believe they're turned off like the compressor is. It's not like the alternator is gonna get turned off anyway....brain fart
