Hook line and sinker? no way. I can get another diff from GM if I need. Id like to get a bulletproof solution. I think that MM and Thunder will be offering such, therefore, I will be in line for such. Price, I can wait until they are ready to let us know.

I cant charge for all the R&D this is taking. I am going to build the unit and not worry about price. Once I know it works then I can price it Knowing that there will be a quanity sold.

A Billingsley fabbed 9"n for a f-body with all the goodies except a driveshaft runs well over $4000. I wanted this piece for two reasons...1. I don't feel like breaking the rear diffs over and over. 2. When I do break the stock diff, my car is no longer under warranty, so I don't feel the need to spend well over $2000 replacing the stock piece of **** that Getrag produces when I can pay what hes charging to never have to bother with that weak link again!

I understand what custom work and personal craftmanship mean when creating a product Madman. So please keep up the good work and let us know when you have a finalized product and process. Then I'll be interested in looking at product pricing. I think you're just seeing the end results of a world and market used to mass production lines and access to prison / cheap labor as compared to the invested time of old world craftsman and the personal touch, with a little anxious frustration thrown in.

MM,
Im behind you on this MM, youve shown nothing but class and professionalism. Im sure your product will speak for itself. As for Dannystang, I can confirm I saw him giving some guy a lap dance at the Manhole on 5th street (was it Jamie?)
lol

Hey guys, I've been busy and haven't checked with this forum for a while, My rear end just took a dump this weekend and I'm going to need a replacement unit ASAP, please let's go ahead and start a list of interested forum members to see how many people can we count with, I see that Paul from Thunder is taking care of bussines as well, I have nothing to say but GOOD things about thunder racing and will be more than happy to buy from them, specially a product made by Madman, please count me in for 1 unit so I can enjoy driving my V the way it's supposed to be driven, can we get HELL YEAH.

The CTS-V is a limited production vehicle and only a handful of owners would want to take it anywhere near 1000whp. I would much prefer a replacement which costs $3000 and handles 500whp to a replacement that costs $9000 and handles 1000whp.

But I also want to preserve the handling characteristics of the car. I think most enthusiasts want a replacement which can handle bolt-ons and mild engine work without being prohibitively expensive, noisy, or obtrusive. 1000whp isn't a concern for the vast majority of V owners and targeting it doesn't make economic sense.

The factory rear can handle bolt-ons and mild engine work, but at the same time paying double for something that you will NOT have to replace and most likely never worry about again.

I have not seen a price on this yet that last I heard it was still being developed ?? am I wrong ????
Either way it will be interesting to say the least when this comes out, as to what options are availible for this rearend. Sure hope it stay reasonible on price structure, if not at that point I will have to consider getting rid of the car. Who knows, but this might be my desiding factor and just get a C6 or new Z06, in a year or two
