I posted here exactly a year ago, about me wrecking my 04 Procharged CTS-V. Unfortunately at the time I didnt have the funds and was finishing my Supra. No insurance is what stalled the fix.
I went around a corner hit a patch of sand on the road lost control and hit the curb. (pics below)
With that said what dealer do you guys recommended I get the parts from? Who has the best prices. I want to eliminate the common knocking/whining noise from the diff as well.
What route would you guys take, since we all have this common diff problem? Throw an 06 diff in? Can it go right in without any extra problems?
I finally have cash in hand, just need the right help in order to get the parts.
Thanks in advance.

The 06 diff is a direct replacement for the 04. HOWEVER, running FI is going to destroy even the new and "improved" (hahahaha) 06 diff. My advice is throw the 06 in there and do not drop the clutch and be relatively easy off the line. If you can wait a while, there are several aftermarket approaches to throwing a beefier pumpkin between the rear tires (may or may not be an option for you, depending on your location/time frame).

Luke's prices (and service) are fantastic. I'm a tenured employee at Cadillac Dealership (8 years) and Luke's prices are better than I get from my own parts department.
