i honeslty think that without mufflers, headers would be over the top...right now it's teatering on obnoxious. it would sound like a top fuel car. lol
i wish you could hear it in person... it's x5.
those 3grand blips are just a tease ...must be all those extra cubes.

but thanks for the pat.

I got stopped three times and ticketed once (excessive noise) with the X pipe and no cats on my B&B exhaust system.

Sounded great, but I got to paranoid and put the resonator and the cats (it did stink) in.

Enjoy it while you can!

lol thanks...i have a feeling u may be right....
i got a court date on sept 3rd for "exessive noise" b4 the x-pipe.
all it did was remind me where to pick your spots, cant romp on it
at all times. i can shift the car without much noise at half throttle
and low rpms'...
acctually i was checkin out the stock resonator and it is an x-pipe,
just had slash cut baffling to kill sound. if i would have known it wasnt
that resrictive i might have left it alone. might! lol

As long as you don't go WOT and you ride the low rpms (ain't torque great?) you can sound "legal" or just barely.

The problem is, what fun is that?

Murphy's law states (or it should) that no sooner do you go WOT, you either pass a cop or one hears you.

I've got this same setup, X pipe inplace of the resonator and no mufflers. I have cats and stock manifolds now and mine isn't near as loud as yours. I'm trying to find the right muffler (soundwise) to put on it for the install of my no cat long tubes

That exhaust sounds pretty good; not too loud or overboard. Sounds pretty sophisticated; and it should be, especially coming from a luxury car. It kinda sux being up North, cuz they do tend to take that whole "excessive noise" thing to a different level. In SC... no such thing. No sniffer inspections either. Does the exhaust set off your check engine light at all?
