Default CTSV mods that dont void warranty

So after waiting since 2003 when I first heard about these things, I finally got one. 2005 V, black. What can I say, I got tired of building the old ones into street rods.

Several questions, best I can tell from the brembos, tranny, rear, LS6 - did GM just toss a caddy body on a C5 Z06 frame? Or is this an independent build with already existing gm parts.

What mods are allowed without voiding the warranty?

Im looking at the BBK shorty headers for the z06 and wondering: will they fit? (not on the motor, clearance issues)

Also, Im looking at throttle bodies/intake manifolds, which size is associated with the least bogging on a stock motor?

Does anyone make performance mufflers that are almost stock sounding? I cant believe Im actually saying this but, I like the stealth aspect of the car. Maybe flowmaster hushpowers? Youtube links rock if you have any.

Other mods that make sense? Ive already got the hotchkis bars on order and 275/40s on the rear of the car.

Thanks in advance all.

this is a cadillac platform, so corvette fitment is not an option.
90 mm ported throttle bodies (ls2). your wrrnty issues are
all about individual dealer desicions. grease the service mngr. lol
or talk to them on phone (dont tell them who u are as of yet, just ask questions) 1st to clear up any issues befor u go down in person.
b&m shifter is first mod with uuc bushings, exhaust, cai, eibachs...check my sig and my postings, as well as others sigs and posts...alot of u tube links to be found on here as well. good luck brethrin. lol

One thing you might try is having them install the part. Even if you can do it they will most likely cover the part if they install it. I'm not talking about a maggie but exhaust, intake, etc.

It's the LS6 engine and tranny from the vette, shoehorned into the CTS body, frame and unfortunately, the rear.

There is no list - it is very dependent on how your dealer feels about certain mods. Some don't care, some refuse to warranty things. Just don't expect the dealer to warranty an exhaust that you hacked up or the shifter when you install a short shifter. Ask other V owners in your area where the best mod-friendly dealers are.

No they won't fit. For headers, you have: Kooks, TPIS, B&B, Stainless Works and they're all long tubes.

I wouldn't say shoe-horned. Look at an f-body, that is more along the lines of shoe-horny. Not to mention that LSx engine are narrower than OHC V6s.

Get that in writing, on video, voice recorded, in front of a preast/preacher, send it certified mail and don't open it.

i have a real good local dealership, I didnt have any major mods, but I did bring it in with a dif and driveshaft in pieces, while the car was sitting on drag radials that still had track rubber stuck to them. they changed it out no problem, and took a door ding out(paintless) with out me even asking
