Ok my friend got a ZO6 I belive its a a 2003, First race from a dig I was scared (since my dumb *** got arrested for racing last month) lol I missed 3rd like a nub. Second race he missed 3rd and I got in front. oh yeah from a 25punch. 3rd race from a 25punch he got out in front of me damn 255 tires and kept a car lead until 140 I started creeping. I am told my car should put down 450ish RWHP but Ihavent been able to confirm yet. His Zo is stock, that damn 900lbs killed me.

with your maggie you will rock a stock one but not so much if he has intake headers and catback and such.

HA, wrong.....if it was a C6Z06, it should of taking you with your mods. That guy couldn't drive then....A maggie V isn't faster than a C5Z06 stock. I NO this for sure....ALSO Don't get me wrong there are some fast *** V's that can beat SOME Z06's with shitty tires/drivers.

Yeah, but if pricing is a criteria, it beats 'em all by about a bizillion miles.
Even at $150K, it is a steal, of course you can mod a C6Z to beat it and still be under $120K.

Onebadcad-Im thinking White C6 with stupid mods, but I will only settle for a white one unless its a Z OR C5Z full track car. Unfortunitly OKcrusing (Mike) had to tell me his dry sump cost 12k, motor 5k, His NEW racing brakes 9k. Old ones weren't cutn it. Lets not to mention his C5Z track car has 4k miles on it and it has everything you could do to it. Even my FREE GIVE AWAY suede interior trim peaces I had gave him.....bastard....

well way to get off the fuqin topic!! He has a C5 ZO6 stock very good tires he auto crosses reg. My car NA heads,cam, exsaust I had another person in my car and I weigh 240 so thats where the weight dif came from. I was pissed then again Im not cause of the major weight dif. That would make up a whole second in the 1/4.

i drag a C6 Z06 (stockish) pretty bad until about 135, they start to come around me.

Also beat a stock 08 viper the other day and only used 1 kit.

I disagree that a maggied V cant beat a stock c5 z06, thats just retarded.

Disagree if you want, but dragtimes.com has many bone stock C5Zs at or below 12.6secs; remember we are talking average. The Maggied V should beat it given the extra horses, but the weight difference of 800-900lbs is a killer (The Maggie adds about 70-80lbs); someone else can chime it about the gear ratios. Also, the V's diff becomes a bigger problem with more horses. Unless you have a $10K rear, you cannot launch the V hard or shift hard-you knew that. IMO, the rear is a timebomb hardshifting it at the track even without a Maggie. I think I also said a V with a Maggie at 470RWHP vs. a C5Z is a driver's race, not a win for the Vette.

Here is the best time I could find for a C5Z, I think in '02 the C5Z got the LS6, before that it had LS1:

I realize this is the best time, not the average, but am sure no one has gone this fast with a Maggied V at 470RHWP.
Anyway you look at it, the V w/Magge@+/-470RWHP will not beat a C5Z unless the driver mod is in place.
