Default 2004 V Survivor Edition :)

SOLD

Thinking about letting my V go to free up room in the garage for a less practical weekend car.

2004 with ~72k miles, black on black. I'm the second owner (have been for 6 years and 50k miles). No stories, original noise free rear, only mod is a skip shift eliminator. Interior is perfect (leather treated twice a year), exterior is blemish free aside from typical light swirling on an 8 year old black car.

Also have a set of winter wheels/tires that I picked up off the forum when I bought the car but were only used the first 2 years when I had a C5 and my wife was the primary driver of the V.

As of November the vehicle is parked for the winter. Will put on winter wheels and tires to ensure a safe test drive if needed.

Also can provide monthly log which shows mileage and all routine maintenance done to my V. All Mobil 1 synthetic fluids used from front to rear. All work (non-warranty) done by myself.

I think the price is fair but let me know if I'm way off base. I know some folks want modded cars but surely some folks want a 100% reliable factory car as well right?

New mileage = 72k and that's probably about it for the season, I see the cold coming so she'll be sitting in the garage waiting for a new owner.

Thinking about another driver instead of a project now, so come get her before she gets traded in on a 911T or a Cayman S I can throw a turbo on.

Officially parked for the winter.

Updated price to reflect non-driving season.

Lowered price, lets get this thing gone, I've got a fever for a 996TT and the only cure is less CTS-V in the garage!

I had an 04 with 98,xxx that I sold in October of 2011 for $16,000. Yours looks to be in better shape. I will be coming through IA the first weekend in May, if it's still around I might have a look at it. The original diff may be the sticking point. Guess the value of these cars continues to drop even the original production numbers were so low.

Agreed, I think unfortunately these cars are now to the price level where they are no longer kept by enthusiasts who have more money then brains.

I see a too many on craigslist and what not with pictures of the car sitting on the curbside knowing full well the poor car is sitting in the sun 100% of its life. That also means probably lack luster interior detailing and especially lackluster maintenance.

I'm also of the firm belief that if you are going to grenade a Gen1 diff you are going to gernade a GenIV diff. If you respect the launch you can have 98% of the fun and 2% of the worry.

Hopefully activity picks up come spring when I can put some signs in it and start driving it around again.

HiJack on:

I was thinking about this the other day......the prices are going to bottom out in a few years, plateau for a few more years and then I think prices are going to start to climb in the next 10 years......long time to wait for an investment.

OFF:

I just looked at a 2007 Survivor Edition locally, 77k and he wanted $21,500.

Thanks.

I agree, with the limited build number and the amount of trashed ones I see, the good ones will have some value, but not for a LONG time.
