There should be an SS in the 8th digit of the VIN

^^^^^^ Yes!

Look for a "WU8" RPO code. There should be a big list of them on the door.

But as it's been said, call SLP with the VIN when in doubt.

Default 1999 ss

Found and purchased a 99 black SS. 6 speed ,no t-tops,44000 km build sheet shipping docs and window stickers. I do need the original complete cold air parts as the car is missing all the parts. It has a KN system on it. I like original equipment.

Well after of a couple weeks with the 99 SS i bought I can say Im impressed with the car. Car drives great and is very tight.everything works great as the car only has 43000 kms on it. Phoned SLP and the car is everything I hoped it would be.

At this point I would probably leave it stock, but there is soooo much you can do to these cars and get big yields in HP.
