Those things trap 140+mph stock!
Unless you're driving a well-boosted ls1/ls6, I'd expect the race to turn out the way it did.
BTW, what do you drive, just curious.

I drive a 35th Ann. with the 345 hp package and auburn rear. (6sp) I've smoked 911's, M3's, and am even with 04 Cobras. Thought I would stay with him for a while but after about mid way through second gear he ghosted me. Thanks for the response.

LOL, even some of the guys on here with 10 sec. NA motors can't keep up with the sport bikes. I know 1 guy in particular who was able to hang with a GSXR 1100 from a roll with his low 10's on motor car...........for about 100'.

You should have no trouble hanging with a GSXR1000... if you have an 800RWHP F-Body

Those bikes run 9's at close to 145MPH with a good rider...

Read this article to see what these bikes are capable of... I have a low 11 second F-Body and it's not even close to my GSX1300R!

Thanks for straightening me out guys. I had a couple of bikes but none moved like that one did. Thought I would stay with him a bit but not to be.

I would not even attemp to race a bike unless I have about 600 rwhp. I would only attempt to race 600's and even then I would get my *** handed to me. Just think of the hp vs weight ratio next time you want to race a bike and that will stop you from embarrassing yourself.

Here's what the 2004 600 Sport Bikes run... the 2005's are even faster... you would need about 600RWHP in a full weight F-Body to keep up with a 600CC bike!

That's what I said that I would need at least 600rwhp with a perfect launch to beat a 600 sport bike. My last bike was a 86 750 Interceptor which was fast but the bikes now like the 600cc's are smaller displacement, lighter and much faster.

Hey Pomp I was having fun and new I had no chance so it wasn't an embarrassing situation. Just tossing the car around. If you only race Ford Tempos what is the point?

That is weird. At local track hyabusa was running high 10s at 130mph and the 600s were only running like 12.5 at 115 . Some cars were beating the 600 bikes but that day no car was as fast as the hyabusa.
So not sure mabye the riders were just not good and the track was 1700 feet above sealevel..SIR In Saskatchewan to be precise. Still that hyabusa was very consistent with his high 10s and trap speed and the 600s were also pretty consistent.

So not sure what the deal is there. Buddy is selling his modded up gxr 1000 2003.
Wish I had the bucks.

Was that a trick question? A 2002 GSXR600 runs high 10's... your car runs 13's... it would not be a race

Just figure out what your power to weight ratio is and then do same for the bike and you will have answered your own question.

Stroker you're the man. I also have experience running with the smaller bikes and stayed with them eventually succumbing to their power to weight. But that bigger bike (JUST AS YOU SAID) annihilated me. And, had I raced a pro on a 600 yes I would have been smoked. Thanks to everyone

The 1 Litre bikes do run 10 flat now in the 140+ range but there are a few factors to getting those times. First those times are with professional riders and second the riders weigh 130lbs LOL

My buddy has a 2004 R1 and I've seen it go what a rocket even with him being a 220lb rider, but I dont believe he cud get it to run 10.0. Also he has a real hard time keeping the front tire down in the first 2 gears. His R1 weighs like 370 dry.

I think that with my current mods some 600s might get a bit of a surprise

Have you ever ridden a litre bike? Even with an average sized 200lbs rider they run VERY low 10's'... I have a GSX1300R, ZX12R, low 11 second Firebird and high 11 second Z28... so I am not talking from my A$$... What do you expect your car to run, in order to keep up with a bike that runs 10's?

The guy I raced was probably about a buck forty (no ****) and had a silly grin on his face that I would have liked to knock off - had I been able to catch him.
