What area are you from?? There are 3 tuners here in Toronto if you want to drive down here. They are Autoworxs near the Airport, Full Throttle Racing in Pickering and Strait Line or Red line Racing in Scarborough. You can get there numbers off of Canada411.com

They tuned both my cars... an 02 H&C M6 Z28 & a 98 385CI A4 Firebird... and they both run great!

ARE was on Brock in Pickering, but when they changed to Autoworx, they moved to the airport area.

I F'd up, I though you just wanted some pulls, other than that, what your receiving for 2 to 3 from the other places.

i have had a few of my buddies that had dyno tunes done for around 2-300 one was 350 but that was a turbo talon and he needed alot of help hahaha imports but ya i was just wondering if that is resonable to be around 500 for a imple dyno tune?? plus shiftpoints and such..... maybe i should just save the cash and do it right the frst time.

i thought to have codes and stuff shut off would be cheaper around 100 maybe 150 to get things out of open loop but i was told between 2-300 so i figure if im gona do anything ill get it cleaned up at the same time instead of paying 2r3 now and then another 500 later on for the tune witch might give me what 20 hp??

Autoworx has tuned both my motors in the last year a H/C that made 439 and my new LS2 412ci has made well over 500rwhp thru full exhaust and very heavy ZR1 rims.

Peter K is worth it IMO he tunes at least 5-10 LS1 / LS2 or LT1 cars a week and Autoworx has there own dyno... but there are others also capable out there. You will hear good and bad and I can only tell you my experiences.

Good luck.

Autoworx has a few levels of dyno tune packages. Just remember to compare apples to apples when comparing tuning prices. It is one thing to adjust a few tables, it is another to spend time with the car and get drivability perfect as well. Also, automatics and torque converters require much more time to tune than an M6. Shift points and transmission settings must be set up properly during a tune as well.

I was offered some really good advice from a buddy of mine which I will offer to you. If your going to do anything to your car do it correct the first time and don't cheap out because it will cost you more in the end. Automatic cars do require more time to tune due to the shift points, line pressures and the list goes on. Stick cars they just program the engine and the fans and your good to go. Where ever you get a full dyno tune and not just the codes turned. Your A/F probably is off and your in danger of hurting your engine and turning off your codes will achieve nothing and is a waste of money.

Well said Pomp. Speaking from my experience I've never driven a H/C car like mine that drove like stock in hot conditions and heavy traffic Pete K does an amazing job on getting these cars set-up properly. Like Dale said he's doing 5-10 of them a week

Protech:

1-905-795-8550

Ask for John and don't be suprised if he answers horsepower (not sure if thats what he's calling the dyno side of the business)

Its in missasauga and he quoted me $200 for my 2000 SS. He said its usually about 4 pulls on the Dyno and 2 hours of tuning. A friend of mine had it done and he gained 20hp at the wheels, on a basically stock 2000 SS. I believe he left Protech with 339 at the wheels.

I will also say that IMO get it done right the first time and have someone who is experienced with LS1's and does them everyday do it.

I have personally spent a lot of time at AutoWorx in the last few months and watched PeteK tune.

Its not just the wide open throttle tuning, its the part throttle and idle changes that make the difference in drivability. Pete has the experience with LS1edit it takes.

Also when tuned by AutoWorx you can expect continued support afterward for codes or other issues that may come up.

Also, please remember there is much more involved in getting a built high HP engine tuned in, idling properly and drivable than there is to extract a few more HP out of a car with some bolt ons.

thanks alot for all the input guys im pretty sure i had decided to just wait till I have all the money to do the full tune.. im sure it wont hurt to drive around like i have been for a little longer. BTW my engine is stock pull-out of a 2002 z28 i do have 3.73's now instead of the 3.23's and she works pretty good i guess but I will know better when I get it looked at as I am just a newby to this new genration of engine... unfortunately I think my transmission is slipping so there goes another 4000$ but hey you gota pay to play. thanks again guys and please keep the info coming if you have any news..

Ps does anyone know the adress to autoworx???? seeing as how it is not on bailey st anymore

Why would you want to get your car tuned at a Mustang shop??? How many tunes has he done on LS1's??
