Tires on this kind of torque makes a big difference. My DOT slick drops me into the low 11's and maybe a high 10 but I'll have to see if I can manage that.

As others have mentioned traction is a big problem for you right now. As an alternative to ET Streets, I'd like to suggest trying MT's street radials. They are a great tire that hook. I just bought a pair of 16's for $190 each new.
Your car really pulled in the big end. Comparing your numbers to mine showed a huge jump in the last 1/8th. I pull 1.75 60's 8.0 @ 1/8th and trap 12.8 so to be 4 tenths behind at the 1/8 and still trap better the car must be moving.
i don't know a lot about turbos but from what I have gathered they make boost under load and need to stay spooled up so if you are shifting slow or getting out of it between shifts you will lose boost and therefore power. I think a few more track days will improve you ET's without touching the car.
Good Luck

12.4@118 is awesome in that type of set up.
I have a similar coupe setup that is somewhat lighter 300-400lbs. It is not easy trust me.

Dale how fast do you think your car would go with an extra 400 lbs in it, this is not a flame just a fair comparison its easy to figure out I have figured it out allready, what do you come up with?

I think Eugenios car ran as good as it would have with my motor in it. They are very similar, with only subtle differences.

Think about it, this summer Eugeneo's car supposedly had almost ONE HUNDRED RWHP MORE than your full weight Z28 yet had an almost identical trap speed?
Intersting how you never pointed this out before........

Since I need traction to compensate for my inferior driving skills.
1) Can anyone tell me what 16" rims will fit?
2) Does anyone take their 16" rims and strip tires to the strip change them out there? I am curious if how big a tire fits in the back of a camaro.
3) If not can I drive 2 hours gently on ET streets to the strip and back without burning them off?
4) With sticky tires I suppose I will also need a heavy duty driveshaft, as my stock beer shaft can won't last correct?
Tried a search, and couldn't find the information.
Thank you.

Considering you have strong rear end, I say go for some 15" Convo Pros and true slicks... a 26x9 Hoosier slick will give you plenty of traction! Yes, you should upgrade your driveshaft and get a safety loop... You should have no trouble squeezing them into your car, I squeeze 4 Convo Pro along with a 15L jug of fuel and all my tools into my firebird and it has a roll cage in it! Don't try to drive to the track on your drag tires, I tried that at the beginning of the summer and 400kms of driving will kill your drag tires!

Looking back on this thread and noticed that you have a alky set up, did you make this power with the settings you are at on your alky or have you played with it ? The alky is not add more make more power so if you have played with it this could be something to look at!

If you are going to run a full slick go with a 26x10 inch. Dont bother with the 9 inch wide tire. (You'll sixty about a tenth better in the sixty with the 10 inch versus the 9 inch)
You can also run a 26x11.5 inch wide ET street or QTP pro. (Measures out to ten inches wide) That should be good for a mid 1.5 sixty.
The 26x10 inch full slick will be good for 1.4 sixties provided you have enough power and gear.
I would buy the stickiest tire possible and change them at the track. Spend the money once![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

Great: 26 X 10, what size rim 16, 17?, 15" (don't want to grind calipers). Who sells them in Canada?
As to alchy. untouched since dynoed. Nothing changed since dyno, Other than...
I didn't have 94 octane as I did for the last dyno. Couldn't find it near the track and I was running on fumes. So I used 10 L of 87 octane and 10 L of 110 octane to try and get close to 94.
Was afraid running 110 octane might burn too hot or lean out my engine, unless I had it tuned for 110.
I have to do more research on this subject to determine what octane to run for the next track outing.

What is your goal for the car Lust4Thrust? I know lots of guys with 400+ RWHP who don't run much quicker than you if at all.
